Bio and Links
The surnames I am researching are Lojek, Zacharias, Baranski, Narewski, Solowski, Spernal, Tomaszewski and Kukula among others in the Detroit, Michigan area. I am also researching Zacharyasz, Rozek, Majchrzak, Grzegorczyk and Reder among others in the Bay City, Michigan area. If these names sound familiar to you, please feel free to contact me. We might be related.

Jacob Zacharyasz was born in Sroczewo, Poland. He had at least 4 children of which 3 came to America in the 1880ís and settled in the Bay City area:
Weronika Zacharyasz married Andrzej Grzegorczyk
Zofia Zacharyasz married Tomasz Majchrzak
Apolonia Zacharyasz stayed in Poland
Stanislaus Zacharyasz married Victoria Baranowski

Jacob had a brother Ignatius. Ignatius had at least 3 children: Michael, John and Hedwig.

For 20+ years now I have been in the process of putting together a comprehensive Zacharias Family History and Pictorial documenting and linking all of the groups. I am looking for any and all descendants of Weronika/Andrzej, Zofia/Tomasz and Stanislaus/Victoria to contact me so their families can be included in the Pictorial. Currently, the Pictorial is 225 pages long with over 1400 names, 400 pictures, death certificates and other assorted documents. I know there are hundreds and hundreds of more names that I am missing. Other surnames within the 3 main lines are Reder, Rozek, Dominowski, Wazbinski, Kielpinski, Karbowski, Grocholski and Bielinski (Bliss).

I see many family trees online with incorrect and incomplete info. I have tried to contact the authors, but only one or two responded. I am hoping there are people among you that would be interested in helping me out and learning more about your ancestral line. I am even willing to bet that many of you didnít know you have Detroit relatives. If you have any questions or would just like to talk to me first, please contact me.
Thank you in advance and I hope to hear from many of you soon.

Not a problem. I'm glad spring is nearing.

Are you still looking for Rozek's? I was in St Patrick's and photographed a husband and wife. They do not have a memorial. Do you want their info?

Ann Franko Baranski
Mr. Lojek,

I am "Tweety" from the Michigan area. I live near Riverside Cemetary. I went to take a photo of this stone. When I went to load the picture, I found there are actually two memorials set up. The other Memorial was created by BJW. The number is 13288450. This has a great deal of background on both Raymond & Ann. I don't want to post my photo at this point, because I can't decide which one or
both to use. Could you contact BJW with a public message? All of the personal information seems to be the same. The birth & death date. The E-Mail
is If you just run the last name of Franko & check the subjects, you will see the other memorial listed. Thank you.

Your welcome, sorry there is so much grass grown over, but I was running into a lot of red ants.
