Now my interest in genelaogy goes back to as a child when my father and I would go for walks and I wanted to go through a local graveyard to look for the oldest tombstone.

I was born in Peoria, IL but my family left the area and did not return until early in my seventh grade year moving to Dunlap, IL., then attending high school and college in Illinois. Jobs had me eventually becoming an East Coast resident.

The Central Illinois area names I specialize in are; Abbott, Burns, Callery, Daley, Delaney, Fulton, Gallup, McDonna, McMullen, Moore, Ross and Sheen.

A proud member of One Foot In The Grave.

Hi Michael - I hope you are well - it’s been a while since we chatted. I’ve had a chance to add more of the family tree to “” Since you were so kind as to put in my Great-grandparents Houren - could you do me the favor of attaching my great-grandpa (my namesake) to his parents.

John Thoms Houren 112273862

father: Michael Houren 143769816
mother: Mary Anna Cummings Houren 143769924

I greatly appreciate it!

RE: Fink in Oak Ridge Cemetery
I'm glad I could help. I'm transferring the McMullen memorials to you that you sent the edit requests for since they are your family. I thought that I had already transferred all of them to you. If I missed any, just send me a request for them and I'll transfer them to you.
Have a great day!

Sorry about the last blank message..... I added some pictures to the memorials for you. I knew I had them, just finally getting around to it. Sorry it took me so long.
Added pictures to Joseph T. & Sarah and John F. for sure. Still going through and adding pictures, so you may want to check all the family members in the cemetery in the next couple days to see if I added any pics to them.
Have a great day!

Walter Francis Byrnes
Hello Mike,

I moved into my home at West Main in Princeville Illinois and later found W.F. Byrnes inscribed into the basement wall. Ever since finding this I have wanted to know if he actually lived at my current residence or did some work in the basement at one time. I started my search by first trying to find his grave but came up empty handed as there is no headstone for Walter. I did find both of his wives at the township cemetery and then his parents and all of his siblings at St Mary's Cemetary across town but never Walter himself. I did discover that a Donald Byrnes is buried in Rock Island and I believe this to be one of his sons, however, I could not find a detailed obituary. Walter had another son by the name of Edward but I have been unsuccessful at locating him. I hope to eventually contact a living relative to see if any photos of Walter exist and find out where he lived. Can you point me in the right direction?
