My family is from Frametown Wv., Braxton Co. & surrounding areas. I focus on Braxton Co. mostly & also West Virginia in general however i live in Ohio. For the past 10 years I have been researching my family, photographing & transcribing cemeteries, doing lookups for others & basically anything & everything to do with genealogy. I love this & am very happy to help anyone that I can in the process. I am always looking to connect with any Frame relatives. |
My memorials are added with the information directly from a stone & if I have additional information, it will be added also. I have been working with cemetery records for a long time so I know a bit of what I am doing. I do make mistakes though too, I am a human & dont always catch it. The amount of memorials I have added is in no way a race to see who can get the most. I add them to help others & to help insure the most complete & accurate records as possible. Generally I am adding a complete cemetery with a few exceptions now & then.
I am happy to transfer memorials, unless they are my family as well.
Please send all edits through the edit tab, it is the easiest & most efficient way to send any corrections or additions to memorials.
Often I will add death certificates, it is fully within FAG guidelines. They not only help others but also add to the record of death, which is what FAG is for. It is not a site for 'remembering or celebrating a persons life'. Your personal preference on if they look tacky or uncaring has no bearing on me adding them. I will only remove them if you are the immediate relative but if you are rude to me about it, I will not remove it at all & ignore you. A little niceness goes a long way with me as I am a very nice person & expect to be treated with a little common decency & respect.
PS: PLEASE DO NOT TAKE ANY PHOTO'S I HAVE POSTED WITHOUT MY PERMISSION & POST THEM ANYWHERE ELSE ON THE WEB. YOU CAN USE THEM FOR YOUR FAMILY TREE'S IF THEY ARE YOUR FAMILY BUT PLEASE MAKE SURE I GET CREDIT FOR THE PHOTO.

|Sandra Peake||RE: Martha E Cox|
Martha E. Cox is my Great Grandmother buried at the Rosedale Community Cemetery. Her name was Martha Ellen Roberts. She married David Van Buren who was from NY. They had three children: George William (my grandfather), Dora Ellen (Van Buren) Lowe, and Minnie O. (Van Buren)Carr. After David's death, Martha married Hiram Cox in Wood Co., WV. He and his first wife had (I think) 8 children. When Hiram and Martha got married they had additional children to total 24 children between the three marriages per the obit of one of their children. I have only been able to document 23 children.
Martha's parents were: John Barton and Julianne (Evans) Roberts.
Thanks for all the work that you are putting into this research and for sharing with others. I have been researching since 1989 and still love every minute that I get to spend on it!!
|Sandra Peake||Bennett Cemetery, Gilmer Co., WV|
My G. G. G. Grandmother, Lydia Mowery Duelley is buried at this cemetery. I am a native of WV and now live is SC; but am returning for 2+ weeks of genealogy research and trying to locate some graveyards. Since you are from Braxton...where my Bennett/Van Buren/Ellyson/Putnam/Lowery/Williams/Tomey/Williams, etc., are from, I am in hopes that you can give me a general area of where the following graveyards/cemeteries are located:
Bennett Cemetery at Ellis - Gilmer Co.
Messenger Cemetery at Baldwin - Gilmer Co.
Long Graveyard, Steer Creek
Hiney Cemetery, Lynn
Any help that you can give would be greatly appreciated. I have even called the funeral homes and they are uncertain of some locations.
|Phyllis||Cross family info|
Hi! I just came across an error on your page for Bronson Farrell Cross born in 1931. You have his mother connected as his spouse and his sister connected as his daughter. Easy error because his dad was Bronson Floyd Cross. :)
I'm not related; I'm researching this family for a friend.
Thanks for all you do!

|Jim Bacorn||RE: John Wayne Bacorn|
There are Zimmermans in my family tree as well. They married into the Bacorn family.
John's dad also owned a sport shop, so it may have been picked up by one of his customers attending the calling hours?
|FRANKLIN D. SAMPSON||Homer and Media|
|FRANKLIN D. SAMPSON||Homer Sampson and Meda Brady|
Is there a stone in Braxton County for them? I thought they were buried in Gilmer County, I have a memorial on here for them in Gilmer County. If you would transfer them to me I would appreciate it. They are my relatives. Homers dad and mom are David Andrew Sampson and Sarah Elizabeth Hicks buried in the Cottrell Cemetery on Frozen Run in Calhoun County
|Nancy Clay||Margaret Morton-155066640|
have 2 memorials for Margaret Morton. This one is good one to delete..I used the M.J to add the info too since it had her husband connected..Thanks, Nancy
|Shelly Tenney||Gertrude Gross|
Hi! I just added William and Rebecca Dilley to the Gillespie Cemetery in Braxton County. Would you please link my Grandma Gertrude Dilley Gross to her parents, please and thank you!
|brett hickle||RE: Dell Hickle|
That Dell Hickle you are referring to is my great grandfather. His father was a man named Sweeney but he disappeared and Ethelbert raised him as his own. When Dell died the funeral home which is now the Dean Whitmarsh Funeral Home has Ethelbert listed as the father and Sara Bircher as his mom. Even though Ethelbert was his grandfather
|Kathi Lynn King||Emma Francis Caldwell Swisher|
Emma Swisher is buried in Forest Rose Cemetery in Ohio on the same lot as her son James and his wife. verified by checking the cemetery website at www.cilancaster.oh.us they have a searchable cemetery page there. Do you have any other information on her husband when he died where they were living when he died or anything else that would help search for him. you can at least link the 3 children to their mother now. Kathi Hope this helps
