My family is from Frametown Wv., Braxton Co. & surrounding areas. I focus on Braxton Co. mostly & also West Virginia in general however i live in Ohio. For the past 10 years I have been researching my family, photographing & transcribing cemeteries, doing lookups for others & basically anything & everything to do with genealogy. I love this & am very happy to help anyone that I can in the process. I am always looking to connect with any Frame relatives. |
My memorials are added with the information directly from a stone & if I have additional information, it will be added also. I have been working with cemetery records for a long time so I know a bit of what I am doing. I do make mistakes though too, I am a human & dont always catch it. The amount of memorials I have added is in no way a race to see who can get the most. I add them to help others & to help insure the most complete & accurate records as possible. Generally I am adding a complete cemetery with a few exceptions now & then.
I am happy to transfer memorials, unless they are my family as well.
Please send all edits through the edit tab, it is the easiest & most efficient way to send any corrections or additions to memorials.
Often I will add death certificates, it is fully within FAG guidelines. They not only help others but also add to the record of death, which is what FAG is for. It is not a site for 'remembering or celebrating a persons life'. Your personal preference on if they look tacky or uncaring has no bearing on me adding them. I will only remove them if you are the immediate relative but if you are rude to me about it, I will not remove it at all & ignore you. A little niceness goes a long way with me as I am a very nice person & expect to be treated with a little common decency & respect.
PS: PLEASE DO NOT TAKE ANY PHOTO'S I HAVE POSTED WITHOUT MY PERMISSION & POST THEM ANYWHERE ELSE ON THE WEB. YOU CAN USE THEM FOR YOUR FAMILY TREE'S IF THEY ARE YOUR FAMILY BUT PLEASE MAKE SURE I GET CREDIT FOR THE PHOTO.

|Shelly Tenney||Gertrude Gross|
Hi! I just added William and Rebecca Dilley to the Gillespie Cemetery in Braxton County. Would you please link my Grandma Gertrude Dilley Gross to her parents, please and thank you!
|brett hickle||RE: Dell Hickle|
That Dell Hickle you are referring to is my great grandfather. His father was a man named Sweeney but he disappeared and Ethelbert raised him as his own. When Dell died the funeral home which is now the Dean Whitmarsh Funeral Home has Ethelbert listed as the father and Sara Bircher as his mom. Even though Ethelbert was his grandfather
|Kathi Lynn King||Emma Francis Caldwell Swisher|
Emma Swisher is buried in Forest Rose Cemetery in Ohio on the same lot as her son James and his wife. verified by checking the cemetery website at www.cilancaster.oh.us they have a searchable cemetery page there. Do you have any other information on her husband when he died where they were living when he died or anything else that would help search for him. you can at least link the 3 children to their mother now. Kathi Hope this helps
|Mark Kreps||RE: David Frame|
Thank you for your rapid response. David Frame would be my 5th great grandfather as well. As I understand it would be up to that volunteer and landowner to allow the marker to be placed there. There maybe some records that reflect his family is buried there. Since I belong to the SAR there would be a natural interest in marking a soldier of the American Revolution. I belong to the color guard in Indiana. My wife could come in period correct attire as well. There are members of the SAR living in WV and chapter meets in Charleston regularly.
|Mark Kreps||RE: David Frame|
Yes, the David Frame I am referring to is 154959543. He fought in the Rev War and should have a marker, which can be furnished by the veterans administration, if allowed by the cemetery in charge. They need to make a statement to the effect where the marker should go once verification is stated that he is buried there. I live in Indiana and haven't been in that area except for gas once about a dozen years ago or so. I don't know the area. My grandmother was born there back in 1888.
|Mark Kreps||David Frame|
I am related to David Frame through his great granddaughter Emily Frame Sterrett. I was wondering if there is a marker for David Frame, the Rev. War soldier? if not there should be one. I belong to the Sons of the American Revolution.
|Lisa Hamrick||Belle Belknap|
I have updated her memorial. I have left the death year as 1916 because that is what is recorded in the Braxton County Courthouse and matches census information. I linked her to her parents. :-) They are buried in Flatwoods Cemetery.
|Jim Bacorn||RE: John Wayne Bacorn|
John was a cousin of mine. The Bacorn family....aka: John's dad Bob and my dad Jim were born in Cleveland WV, but there grandfather and quit e a few Bacorns were from Knawls Creek and are buried there.
Who are your grandparents that had the card?

Thanks for the correction on the one still living. Sometimes I make mistakes, or it happens when I upload bulk memorials when doing a whole cemetery. So that one is deleted.
I transferred the other one to you! Thanks for the request, and thanks for doing whole cemeteries! I enjoy doing that before all the old ones are gone and not readable! So I spend a day or week just mowing rows of pictures and comparing with transcriptions or cemetery record books!
