My family is from Frametown Wv., Braxton Co. & surrounding areas. I focus on Braxton Co. mostly & also West Virginia in general however i live in Ohio. For the past 10 years I have been researching my family, photographing & transcribing cemeteries, doing lookups for others & basically anything & everything to do with genealogy. I love this & am very happy to help anyone that I can in the process. I am always looking to connect with any Frame relatives. |
My memorials are added with the information directly from a stone & if I have additional information, it will be added also. I have been working with cemetery records for a long time so I know a bit of what I am doing. I do make mistakes though too, I am a human & dont always catch it. The amount of memorials I have added is in no way a race to see who can get the most. I add them to help others & to help insure the most complete & accurate records as possible. Generally I am adding a complete cemetery with a few exceptions now & then.
I am happy to transfer memorials, unless they are my family as well.
Please send all edits through the edit tab, it is the easiest & most efficient way to send any corrections or additions to memorials.
Often I will add death certificates, it is fully within FAG guidelines. They not only help others but also add to the record of death, which is what FAG is for. It is not a site for 'remembering or celebrating a persons life'. Your personal preference on if they look tacky or uncaring has no bearing on me adding them. I will only remove them if you are the immediate relative but if you are rude to me about it, I will not remove it at all & ignore you. A little niceness goes a long way with me as I am a very nice person & expect to be treated with a little common decency & respect.
PS: PLEASE DO NOT TAKE ANY PHOTO'S I HAVE POSTED WITHOUT MY PERMISSION & POST THEM ANYWHERE ELSE ON THE WEB. YOU CAN USE THEM FOR YOUR FAMILY TREE'S IF THEY ARE YOUR FAMILY BUT PLEASE MAKE SURE I GET CREDIT FOR THE PHOTO.

Thanks, I have some other James' in the tree and I'm fairly sure they are related, but haven't taken the time to search for the connections yet. One of Cecil's relatives married Nellie Marie Barr's sister, Rachel Merle Barr. I love the black hole of genealogy. :)

Just quick question about this James woman. Did her marker say she was the wife of Cecil Bland James? His other wife, Nellie Marie Barr, was married to him from the when he was 23 until his death in 1940. I know it can happen, but I can't find any record for her anywhere, which isn't all what unusual, but if you have anything else on her, I would appreciate it. Thanks

Hi Cheryl. I show that Anna Frame Tomlinson was born 06-30-1827 in Virginia and died 03-26-1897 in Adair County IA. # 27350470 I suspect her father is James (abt 1776 - 1840), as from a 1903 Encyclopedia of Illinois about Norman Frame, it lists his father as James who was married twice. His second wife, Nancy Keener, is listed as being the mother of Norman, as well as Annie, David, Rebecca, Phoebe and Thomas.
Anna's husband was Isaac, and their surname may be spelled various ways in your records - Thomlinson, Tumbleson, Tomlison, to name just a few.
Thanks again for any help you can give me!

I'm a descendent of Anna Frame Tomlinson from Braxton Cty, and am looking for confirmation of her parents. Some trees show her father as James, but I've not found actual proof of that. Would you happen to know? I did see that she purchased a bed from his estate in 1840, but it didn't indicate a relationship. Thank you for any information you might have!

Done! Wish it had been a better picture but the weather wasn't cooperating.

I thought her maiden name was Given so was confused. And yes, Ancestry was a pain in the back side yesterday. Has been off and on for quite awhile. I understand they had one of those denial of service attacks a month or so ago. Maybe it was happening again yesterday. Thank you for getting back to me so quickly!
