I have been researching ever since my Auntie H. gave me the bug after the birth of my daughter. I am now a professional genealogist in New Orleans, and love helping when I can.

I've always found old cemeteries facinating, ever since I stumbled upon one in the woods of Panama City, Florida that was on the verge of being lost to history forever.

I live in the heart of New Orleans, and visit each of the cemeteries here on a rotating basis. I have taken more than 3500 pictures now of various cemeteries. I am and will slowly as time allows upload them to Find A Grave.

If you don't have a problem looking thru so many pictures that may or may not be labled with names, contact me directly and I will provide a link to the Picasa web album where they are located. If anyone has the urge to help upload these photo's and lend a hand, I would welcome you!! ( UPDATE: I would like to Thank Barbara Munson for all her help!!! Her time and generousity in creating the memorials will now allow me to add the photo's)

If you do make a request for a photo, please understand that in the summer, New Orleans is sweltering. It may take a few weeks for me to fulfill due to temps and heat indexes. Also understand if you don't know the plot, while not impossible, in NOLA cemeteries it can take a while to locate due to the huge magnitude of graves in our cemeteries.

My focus is on the older sections currently, as they are in the most danger of being lost due to vandals, floods, age, and lack of care. If anyone finds a family member from my photos, and you see it's been a tad neglected, please consider contacting the church or agency for prepetual care. Don't let our ancestors be lost to our grandchildren and their decendants.
