I am an avid genealogist and local historian. I became a member of findagrave in order to ensure that the burial sites of my family members are appropriately recorded. Through this process, I will be happy to photograph the tombstone or grave of your family member.
Although findagrave's main objective is to be a grave registration site, I think we all need to remember that any time the name or information of a decedent is registered in an unofficial (non government related) capacity, it is a tribute to that person to honor their memory. I am not a member of findagrave for any social status or to have impressive findagrave stats as I have encountered some individuals who do which I feel is disrespectful. For those of you who are contributors to this site in order to honor the deceased, I commend you for all of your efforts.
FaG Thanks for all that you do to preserve history and help others to connect with relatives....unfortunately we are just going to have to deal with those that are in it for the wrong reasons.... bless you and all your work

King-Morris Hello, Looking for any info on Robert Lonzo Morris who married Sarah Eliza King in Wooster or Pleasant Valley area of Faulkner county, Arkansas. I have them in Maple, Sequoyah county, Oklahoma (Indian Territory) in 1900, living next door to Ervin and Rhoda (Morris) Smallwood. Rhoda Morris is my 3rd great grandmother and I believe related to Robert. My 2nd great grandmother, Elizabeth Smallwood was born in Greenbrier, Arkansas.
Unfortunately I can't find Smallwood or Morris on any census in Faulkner county.
RE: Willliam Lloyd Thanks for a quick response. I hope it is your relative and I can get you a picture! Please let me know after you receive the DC info. I am trying to locate info on the cemetery that might be helpful too as I've always wondered about this one each time I pass it.
I live in Lakeland, Florida and know where Medulla Cemetery is as I have driven past it often. I saw your photo request for William and would like to help. There are 175 sites in there. Do you have any idea of an approximate location so I would not have to wander around the entire cemetery? Is he related to you?
RE: Oscar Hartford King Thanks for your message. Please do check about his middle name. Again, my great-aunt, his wife, told me (back in 1981) that it was Hanson. On the marriage record, his name is listed as "O. H.," and on his death record, it's listed as "Oscar H." Yes, my great-aunt was first married to a Haynes (who died), and they had one son. I only know of Oscar's daughter (with whom he was living when he died): Virginia Minor (she was the informant). Too, on the marriage record to my great-aunt, Oscar indicated that he had been previously married (and divorced).
RE: Oscar Hartford King Steven, was Oscar your uncle or great-uncle? Thanks for the clarification about his middle name (my great-aunt had told me in a letter that his middle name was Hanson). According to his marriage record (to my great-aunt), he was born in Conway, Arkansas, and his death record indicates that he died in Anaheim, California. I've submitted that information for an edit.
