Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have lived in Georgia all my life and have always been interested in history. Now that I have discovered information on my ancestors, I hope to uncover more in the near future.

Future plans are to visit North Carolina where my paternal ancestors: Smith, Hunter, Taylor, and Martin lines lived before moving to Georgia.

On my maternal side, my ancestors came from Virginia, South and North Carolina, before arriving in Georgia and later moving to Alabama before the 1880's and early 1900's. I am currently researching family branches of Wade, Fowler, Smith, Whitney, and McKee.

I will attempt to get a better pic when I can. I took the Barnes Cem pics about a month ago and did not have a broom or clippers with me. I have not gone thru them since then, until now.

You are very welcome. And will be glad to make pictures of Mary but need last name, if there are no pictures on her Find A Grave site.

We went back to the Confederate Cemetery today. We went to a section that said Alabama Heroes, 1861-5. There were numerous markers but none of them had names on them. We didn't look though the rest of the cemetery. Sorry I didn't find more. I did take a photo of the Alabama memorial and the rows of graves if you would like me to post them.

Do you have any more info on this person, like what state he served from, what regiment? I am currently in Marietta and we went by the cemetery but there is no directory or any way to look him up, but there were sections for different states and regiments. I will be here through Monday.

You are welcome. It was a tough one to find even though you included the row and plot. A trip to Flowery Branch City Hall where they let me look at the cemetery layout helped me find the location.

RE: Henry Hunter
There were quite a few Henry's in the cemetery. Give me the info you have on him and we will check and see if he is in that cemetery. Gloria
