Bio

You are most kind, but there is no need to reference me or my Findagrave number on any memorial to which I contribute. I believe that memorials should supply information on the deceased, not give credit to a contributor. Findagrave is, after all, a crowd-sourced public history and genealogy resource. I'm just one contributor in the crowd. Just like you.

Many of the memorials that I have created or maintain are members of my family, but most of what I do on Findagrave is try to fulfill its mission as a crowd-sourced public history and genealogy site. So, when information pertinent to existing but incomplete memorials maintained by others comes my way, usually through my public history and genealogy volunteer efforts, I enjoy making additional use of that information by suggesting its inclusion on Findagrave memorials so that the facts can become publicly available.

I thoroughly research all suggestions that I make for memorials maintained by others. However, if you suggest information for one of my memorials, I will likely automatically accept it unless it seems totally outlandish. There's no need for me to investigate contributions submitted to a crowd-sourced site. If your information is wrong, crowd-sourcing should eventually correct it anyway. I have been on Findagrave for over a decade and almost everyone I've encountered on the site has the best intentions and is doing all they can to offer accurate, useful facts and details.
