I have always taken an interest in family tree histories. My father was an avid fan of Find a Grave and he introduced me to this site before he passed away in 2008. Find A Grave Memorial# 46644773. I am happy to be a photo volunteer for much of the Los Angeles area!
You can feel free to use creative commons with the photos I take if you'd like to use them in your genealogy or family history projects.
-I have recently acquired many of the memorials for Hollywood Forest Lawn. I am happy to help with transfers and edits, but please be COURTEOUS and thorough if you have an inquiry or concern. I am a volunteer. If you find a memorial that I maintain, unless they are in my Virtual Family Cemetery, then I have no information on them other than their burial location.
I LOVE to find relatives and homes for the memorials I manage, so IF you see a memorial you'd like TRANSFERRED, I'm more then happy to do so, just put in the request via the "EDIT" option. (Will transfer ANY except those in my Family Virtual Cemetery). ***Also, to expedite edits please use the EDIT tab that Find a Grave has recently provided in the upper right hand corner of all memorials. "Suggested corrections" should be used for transfer requests or other edits that are not options under the EDIT tab.***
Please note, when listing random memorials, I often try to link families together to the best of my ability, using my judgment and common sense. So, I imagine some of the relationship links I have created may not be accurate and I'm always happy to update or change if you can help. Please do not send me requests to change the entry of MAIDEN name for Males whose name origin indicates that they are LATINO. This name is often their mother's maiden name and used for lineage purposes. Maybe a suggestion would be for Find A Grave to add an entry space for this.
My family lines are Schmidt/Wassem and Johnsen/Hale. My husband's family lines are Alves/Carvalho and Bacellar/Huet.
Schmidt I was tracking the Dempsey's and was startled to see your name, "Schmidt". As it happens that name sent me to Dempsey. Could you possibly have ancestors in West Virginia and/or Kentucky? I'm specifically looking for info on Jean Schmidt Baisden (1750-1850) Evelyn Ray
Wrong TS photo request Carolyn, I am sorry for any inconvenience I may have caused you requesting a photo that was already photographed. I still want to request more photos for my family records, just have to "get 'er done".
Marie Sjolin Cook Spurr Hello, My name is Norman Rademacher (email@example.com) I read your findagrave memorial 85943606, I believe I can help out a little. I have just been trying to find some more info. about my 1st cousin twice removed Nannie Marie (May) is from -1910 Census Cook, Her fathers name is William Wallace (Joe) Cook, Her maothers name is Harriet Ellen Terry. She was born in I believe Hardin County Kentucky, from the 1910 Census. Ancestry URL http://person.ancestry.com/tree/13628683/person/12786189629/story says Big Clifty Hardin Ky. But Big Clifty is in Grayson County Ky. So I am leaving it at Hardin. She married Louis Shapiro and was divorced in July of 1971 They had on child Lewis Shapiro born 7 July 1928 Los Angeles Cal. again according to ancestry. Her social security death index states name of Spurr. I believe your Sjolin is probably Shapiro? I hope this helps. you can email me and let me know the changes. Thanks again. Norm P.S. also doing more research on family memebers. as Terry is one of direct lines.
