I was born in Pittsylvania County, VA. My parents were Harold and Ethel (Mattox) Cook. My grandparents were James Allison and Annie Belle (Mattox) Mattox and Eusebius Henry and Fanny Wade (Shelton)Cook. I attended Callands School until my Senior year. At that time I transferred to Gretna High School and graduated there in 1955.
About a year after graduation, I left VA and had lived in several states prior to moving to northern Va for a couple of years and then to MD where I now reside. Many hours are now spent researching my history and ancestors hoping to leave information for those searching at a later date.
