Retirement has let me really work on my genealogy research. My concentration is families in Titus and Franklin Counties. Families are so intermingled in these counties through marriage. Really trying to ensure all cemeteries in these counties are in Find-a-grave. I love when other researchers provide me with new information. Just ask and I will try and help you whenever possible.
Memorial for Jane Atchison Hi Howard. THANK YOU for all your hard work. You and other volunteers are the people who really make genealogy possible!! :)
Regarding the memorial for Jane Atchison, #159454237, please correct her relationship to Blunt Atchison. Per her TX death certificate, Blunt Atchison was her father, Laura Ainsworth was her mother, Jane was single, and was born 7-12-1893. This was reporting by Jane's older sister, Della (Atchison) Brown. Here's a link to the death cert on Ancestry.com: http://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?indiv=1&dbid=2272&h=22803016&ssrc=pt&tid=64937602&pid=34522675314&usePUB=true.
Again, THANK YOU for all your hard work and your loving contribution to the genealogy community! :)
I'm checking further on my family records and my family tree for the parents of Thomas McCrary. I do have a different set of parents that could possibly be his but they are not what you sent me. I'll pull all my records and try to settle on the right one. If you'd like to share your source feel free to do so and I will look at it but it doesn't check out with the family records. Please know I will verify this and if I find yours are correct I will give you credit. Right now I have 2 sets of parents and none are the names you submitted. I'll let you know after I review everything.
I'm not accepting your edit connecting Rev. Thomas McCrary to the parents you sent me. I believe it is incorrect. Thomas is the great grandfather to my children and his parents are: William Jesse and Dorothy Elizabeth Seay McCrary. He is shown as a boy on the 1880 Census as their son if you'd like to see verification. I also have family records. Hope you understand why I denied your request.
Delilah Garrison Hi Howard, this little cemetery is down in the valley, below Arden Cemetery, I was at Arden in May, someone is building a house close to where the cemetery is at. I have heard from another member that someone took the fence down and the markers are all missing. I will remember when I am out that way in May, to walk on down and find out for sure. Sorry Judy
