John and Nancy (Shipp) Martin of Stokes County, North Carolina are my 5th great grandparents. I am a descendant from their daughter Elizabeth who moved with many of her immediate family members to Watkinsville, Georgia. Her sons, John and Burr Harris owned a great many lots in the Town of Watkinsville. Burr's daughters married into the Durham,Camp and Veale families. John's line was named Royster. Elizabeth's daughters were married into the Foddrill and Woodson families.
