thank you you recently sent a photo to me for Emma Louise Stitt. I wanted to thank you so much for your effort. It is much appreciated. I made a request for Mayflower application. I've been accepted, but then received your photo. What a dilemma the date created. Social Security index listed her death date as 1988, find a grave listed 1987 and your photo shows on the grave stone 1968. I'll have to do some more investigations on the year. I've sent twice for a death certificate and only received certificate of search. Her daughter, my aunt Shawmut, was sure her death date was 1988. Emma Louise had lived nearly 100 years and was residing with Aunt Betty at her time of death. I was not in contact with them as the time and only since turning 60 myself have I been doing family history. Well, since I've already been accepted by Mayflower, I'll just leave the record as is until I find out more about her death date. I just remember her as Grandma Stitt. She was a lovely lady. thank you Marty
Edmund Dean’s Firestone Store Hello, again. I just added a delightful photo of Edmund Dean’s Firestone Store. Clicking on the photo will reveal the caption. I hope you like it. If for any reason you would rather it not be there, I will remove it, but I think you will like it!
Dean Wooden Left a message for you and Dean at his Find-A-Grave memorial. We were touched by it––also his obituary at the Greenwood site. He is now in our virtual cemetery "Petoskey History 1852-2002 Our Adult Athletes . . .”
RE: Edmund Dean Thank you for writing, I appreciated hearing from someone that is part of of the family. I did not realize this or I wouldn’t have made the request. It is good to know his memorial is in your care. I will send another correction in the “instant edit” section. (I must have been tired the night I sent the original.) I will trust your judgement regarding its use. Mr. Dean is now ncluded in our virtual cemetery under “Our Chamber of Commerce Members.” Thanks again and Happy New Year.
Lawrence Glass # 701549 just found another memorial for him, #10303450, created in 2005 as the USS Shark memorial. Not sure if the two can be merged, have sent into to the owner of the other memorial, but perhaps you can add the photo to the other memorial?
