You're very welcome. Glad to help. FYI, I added it to Robert's memorial also as his name is listed there. I see you have him buried at Holy Name however. Let me know if you need the photo removed. Martha

Thank you for all your time and effort put into searching the cemetery records. I didn't create the memorial so I don't know where the cemetery information came from. I do appreciate you taking time to do this for me.

Aldrich Family Collaboration
RE: John Edward Noble
I got your message about my relative. Sometimes burial records are not accurate at graveyards. John was buried with his wife but there was not a headstone added. This information is per a family bible my cousin has which was started by the Aldrich family in the early 1800s and passed down in the family. The memorial you mentioned # 1000067341 is a different person.

No family plot that I know of. None of my family died there before they all moved to Idaho. Other family lived in nearby counties (Walker, Wilson, Head.) Makes it very difficult to locate James' grave location at the Live Oak Cemetery.

Thanks for the work you are doing!

RE: Tacsik, John
Hi Tim,

John W. Tacsik died on 11/22/1972, so did you make a typo in reporting he was disinterred on 1/7/1971? Did you mean 1981?

RE: James Washington Walker
Hi Tim, Thanks so much for inquiring. So far, we have no way of finding where my 2nd great-grandfather is buried or who he was buried next to. Many kind folks have tried to find the spot for me. To my knowledge, he is the only one of my ancestors buried in Live Oak Cemetery. The rest of the family moved to Idaho not long after his death.

His was an old wooden marker and has since deteriorated or was taken. A 1977 transcript ( shows the wooden marker was once there. I wish I could find an as-the-cemetery-was-walked (un-alphabetized) version of the transcript, since that would allow us too locate the spot between other markers. His death date should be 27 May 1884 per the family bible. It is odd that the online transcript said the listing was compiled in 1977 from the records of the Live Oak Cemetery District, yet others have looked at the records in the cemetery office and found nothing to match. I would hope that one day the transcriber's can be found to see if they have an un-alphabetized list to look at. The compiler, Annamae Berry, has passed away.

Here is his obituary:
[Death Notice: Sutter County Farmer, Sutter County, California (a weekly), Friday, June 6, 1884, pg 3:4]
"The funeral of James Walker, who died in Deadwood, Butte county, on the 26th of May, took place here Thursday of last week. The corpse was interred in Live Oak cemetery--Rev. DeMunbrun officiating at the house and at the grave."

So that's the long story of it. Good to hear you are building a new database for the cemetery!

Best wishes, Steve

RE: Wheeler, Margaret #127714969
Hi Tim,

Thanks for the heads up. Margaret divorced Sherman M. Wheeler less than a month before she died, which is apparently why the cemetery records include the last name of Wheeler for her.
