and many others that I do for friends and family. I have found wonderful cousins I never new I had.

Some of the obits I've posted may be offensive to some but we have to look at them has a part of history and ignorance. I hope they will help someone in their research, to connect to a family member.
************
I will be happy to transfer any of your family over to you or take pictures for you. I'm not picky about how close a kin they were. Just that you maintain them.

I'm in Surry Co. NC and Patrick Co. VA once a year and will be happy to look for headstones for anyone while I'm up there. I also have the cemetery book for Patrick Co. VA, and the Surry Co. NC Heritage book 1 & 2 and the History of Gonzales Co. book.
Feel free to use any of my pictures or research. They are there for all to share. Please do not add death certificates or pictures of obits to memorial.
Please use the edit tab when making corrections or links. It goes a lot faster. Thank you

Thank you everyone in helping with links and dates and corrections. I some times spell words out of order "Irlen Syndrome" so please forgive me and thanks again, for your helping with correction's and up dates.

Hey Cindy, I sent you and edit for her memorial and put a photo of their marriage registration on her memorial..I can take it out if you want. Her marriage license says her name was "State" but her son's birth certificate says "States". The census' says she was born in Texas. I can't find her parents or any other info on her. Her husband is a 2nd cousin. Thanks, Earl

Hi Cindy, I see that you took 1 of the pictures for Yoakum Cemetery in Dewitt County Texas. Could you tell me where that cemetery is located? Thanks. Beau.

RE: Joseph Alvin Walker
Thanks Cindy- are you aware of the old Walker cemetery just north of Providence church? Nancy Grant Walker is buried there. There are about two doz unknowns there, presumed to be kin including her husband, James Walker. The markers were all field stones but I had small marble slabs placed next to them. She has a nice upright marker which I had cleaned and I put a Confederate headstone next to it for James who was in the militia(assuming he is in the cemetery somewhere). The developers were required to put a fence around it. I put "Walker pioneer cemetery" sign on the gate. It has fallen into disrepair. My Walker kin there are no longer able to take care of it. I live in Texas. I am sure you are aware of the Grant's involvement in the Rev War.

Joshua Adams
Hi Cindy, Hoping you can help me. Trying to connect Joshua to my Pittsylvania Co Adams family. I'm curious if the dates are wrong. Joshua died in 1865 but the date on the deed was 1895. Also Joshua and Elizabeth didn't get married until 1809 but from what I see their first child wasn't born until 1827. That's almost 20 years, or am I missing something.
Thanks for your help.
Carol
