Bio and Links
Bio Photo My step mother started taking me to the cemetery when I was a teenager. All her family came from Patrick Co., Virginia, so they are buried up around Dry Pond or Holt Ridge. I've always loved history and found there was so much of it here in the cemetery.

Munson, Watts,Patton, Patty, Padier,Goins. (La, OK, Ato Co. TX Bexar Co. TX)

and many others that I do for friends and family. I have found wonderful cousins I never new I had.

I am currently working on the families of Gonzales CO. TX. Am also working on the Hillside cemetery in Cuero Dewitt Co. TX and other cemeteries in Dewitt Co.
I've been adding the census records more for my benefit but also for those looking for family members. With so many families to research it helps to keep them straight in my head.

I live in Gonzales TX and I am documenting the City Cemeteries here in town. If you have any information on people buried here I would love to add it. I will be happy to transfer any of your family over to you or take pictures for you. I'm not picky about how close a kin they were. Just that you maintain them.

I'm in Surry Co. NC and Patrick Co. VA once a year and will be happy to look for headstones for anyone while I'm up there. I also have the cemetery book for Patrick Co. VA, and the Surry Co. NC Heritage book 1 & 2 and the History of Gonzales Co. book.
Feel free to use any of my pictures or research. They are there for all to share.

Compton family
Cindy,
I just wanted to thank you for posting the photo of mother's memorial stone (Helen Howard Christian Compton). You are correct. James Virgil Jr. and Helen Margo are both children of Mother and Daddy (James Virgil). My other brother, Robert Key, is buried out at Denton Creek where four generations of Mother's family is also buried. Mother buried three of her four children before she died. I now live in California and haven't been back since her funeral.

RE: Oscar Johnson
Actually, if I recall the rules on Find A Grave you are the correct burial and he should remove his burial since it is incorrect. You might want to check with Find A Grave just to make sure. Send them an email to edit@findgrave.com and see what they say.

Thanks Cindy, but somehow i received Johnnie Forester Letbetter's daughter. I'll be more than glad to take care of her memorial but it is Johnnie Forester Letbetter's that I would really like to have. 76721652

Johnnie Ann Forester Letbetter
Hi Cindy,
Would you mind transferring the memorial for Johnnie Ann Forester Letbetter #76721652 to me. She was my dad's aunt.

Thank you in advance for the transfer AND for all the wonderful contributions you are making to Find a Grave.

Zilmon J. Boothe
I completed your photo request for Zilmon Booth and Augusta Boothe. He is with his wife Augusta and their daughter Mary Frances. There was no memorial for Mary Frances, so I created one and transferred it to you. I also photographed the marker of Zilmon and Augusta's son Zilmon Jr. and his wife Cleo. They are in a different section. There was no memorial for Cleo so I created one and transferred it to you.

P.S. My wife is a Munson, but her people came from England....it appears your Munsons were German. If not, check for the Munson Record ....it is a two volume record of Thomas Munson's family from circa 1550 to 1885. You might bump into someone your related to.
