I was born and raised in Vicksburg, Mississippi and still live here. My family, as well as many others, spent our childhood in the Vicksburg National Military Park and Cemetery,taking pictures,enjoying the history, the many beautiful monuments and climbing the stairs to the top of the 3 tall winding tower's (which,sadly, are no longer standing, due to damage from Vicksburg's 1953 tornado). My interest in genealogy, graves and photography started with my wonderful parents. My Mother was the photo buff in the family and carried her camera with her everywhere she traveled. I cherish all the picture's of memories she has taken through the year's and the fact she wrote the name's on the back of all of them was a beautiful tribute. She passed away in 2011. My father proudly served in World War II and passed away in 2009. He had a passionate desire for genealogy. I inherited that same desire, not only for my family but in helping others. I hope to soon be able to spend even more time on my desire.
