Needham Smith Chapel Cemetery was first known as Cundiff Cemetery. Perrel Cundiff deeded the land to Smith Chapel UM Church. The first burial there was Hannah Cundiff. Later the name was changed to Smith Chapel Cemetery and today is Needham Smith Chapel Cemetery.
