Bio

I, along with several other cousins, have been working on our "Hutchinson Family Tree" for several years. My main reason for working on my family tree was my interest in the Civil War and my relatives who fought and/or were involved in the war. This interest was ignited in college by a professor who is now a well known writer and expert on the Civil War. Guess this interest in the Civil War is understandable being born and raised in Virginia and having a strong Southern heritage....my mother was from a small town in western Arkansas (Mena, in Polk county) and my father was a farm boy from southern Virginian (White Stone, in Lancaster county). After working on my family tree, this interest is still strong, but now partnered with finding as much as I can about all my family members.
I look at my family tree as an initial effort or road map for other family members who might want to see where they came from.
