RE: Carpenter's burial.
It could be that these two cemeteries are the same and should be combined.

RE: Fairview Cem. Guernsey Co. Ohio
I was working from a Gen Soc document so if there are duplicates, please let me know and I'll merge them or delete one.

RE: Nancy Sammons
Hi Steve,

I figured out who George F. Sammons is, buried next to Flem Sammons.

Check this source out:

Thanks,
John

RE: The Bowens
You're welcome. They were completely covered with dead grass. I added the Bowens that were there that weren't already posted. I found a death record for the daughter, Margaret, but no stone unless she's buried in another part of the cemetery.

RE: Nancy Sammons
It is not possible for this Nancy Sammons to be the wife of Fleming Sammons, based on the 1850 census, and age of the first child Thomas. Nancy Campbell was born in 1818 and not this Nancy 1823. I would say that she is buried with Fleming but with one of the unknown Sammons markers.

There is a James J. Alexander marrying Nancy F. Campbell in Bourbon County on 04 Aug 1835.

RE: Nancy Sammons
Steve,
I got it all figured out for Thomas Sammons, with exception of what Alexander married his mother Nancy Campbell, then marrying Fleming Sammons. Perhaps another case of missing records at the court house. I'll keep looking around for old Alexander's in the area cemetery records.

I ended up finding that all this time I unknowingly created a duplicate memorial 173459735 for your memorial for T.H. Salmons 136196094. You can extract all the information to update your memorial and let me know when I can delete my memorial.

Thanks,
John

RE: Nancy Sammons
Hi Steve,
Glad that you picked out this important information on the death certificate of Thomas.

In the 1860 census records (ages not always accurate):

William James Sammons (92223627) is married to Catherine "Nancy" Alexander (92223231), with the following children: Benjamin F., Thomas, Elizabeth, James, George W., Nancy, Rebecca, and John.

Flem Sammons (136196142) is married to Nancy Campbell (136196178), with the following children: Martha, Washington, Mary Commodore, and William.

I will look into this in greater detail and follow-up with what I find out.

Thanks,
John

RE: tks
Believe me, I know, how I felt when we saw my husband's great grandmother's memorial stone. We had NO idea where she was buried, etc. We knew she had moved out West but not sure where she was buried. Well, someone, just like you, walked the cemeteries and put her memorial stone on Find A Grave. Our hearts couldn't have been any warmer when we saw it. So what you, and people like you, do for the rest of us is so appreciated.
Blessings and keep up the good work,
Janice
