I now live in Michigan but was born in Walton County, Georgia.
On my maternal side, family names include Burgess, Elder, Michael, Fambrough, Lowe and Maxey - primarily in Walton, Oconee, Clarke, Oglethorpe and Greene Counties in Georgia. The families arrived in America before the Revolution. I have several books covering those families and am happy to do look-ups.
My parvenu paternal side arrived from Ireland in the 1850s and 1860s, settling in Harrison, Hudson County, New Jersey. Surnames include Donnelly, Hughes, Casey, McGarrity and Holleran.
I would be happy to help with research in my local area and exchange information about family connections. As most grave sites are in deep snow here in western Michigan November through March, I can be of more help in Spring and Summer.
With a very few exceptions, I am happy to transfer any memorial not of my direct family line. The exceptions are a few very close friends or family members with a special connection.
A message including the word "please" will receive a much better reception.
I owe many thanks to the FindAGrave photo volunteers who have so kindly assisted in the compilation of the history of my family lines.
Burgess and Ann Transferred. I know you will take very good care of and it will be available for updates when the time comes. If there are any others that I have that you would like, please just ask. As long as they are not my family, I have no problem w/ transferring outside of guidelines for most people. I took over management of about 6000 memorials from Bud to care for and transfer to family when they searched for them. He wanted family to have, but knew his time was limited. He did so much for find a grave. Bud was a GREAT man w/ such a FANTASTIC attitude. Miss him a lot! I only hope I can be somewhat close to his attitude. Have a GOOD day!! Ann
I just sent a couple of historical newspaper articles that you might want to post on the memorial page for Mrs. R.J. Lowe (Caroline Cochran Lowe). These articles are summarized and full citation information is provided for both articles. They fall within the guidelines for the posting of obituaries on findagrave.com. It's my personal feeling that obituaries add so much to the memorial page. I was a librarian for 30 years and now happily have time for genealogy. Thanks very much for the work you do with findagrave. Kindest regards, Ginny
child not listed #70787105 Is my grandmother and she had three children, not just two as listed. My mother is the one that is not listed. Please tell me how to add that info into her account. Thanks. Ann Flake Leath
Minnie E. Johnson - Michael I am trying to discover / trace the siblings of Minnie E. Johnson - Michael (1889 - 1965)from Walton Co., Georgia. I believe she was the daughter of my great grandparents, William B. Johnson #82086612 & his 1st wife Sarah "Sallie" L. O'Kelley - Johnson #154706994. Do you have any information to verify my grandfather, John Hugh Johnson #62793048, as being her brother and his DOB? Also, any information on another brother, William?
Thank you, Warren C. Johnson email@example.com (985) 781-9011
