Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a retired Navy officer and son of an Army officer. Started into genealogy following the death of my last grandmother and discovered the Find-a-grave site. The information I found on the site helped me break through some of the walls I had encountered and I decided to become a member.

I am located in Jacksonville, Florida, so if anyone needs me to look up anything or take any pictures in my area, please feel free to ask.

I am a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, Kirby-Smith Camp #1209. We work in a few of the cemeteries here in town. We also have excellent resources at the Museum of Southern History in Jacksonville and the main city library, if anyone needs me to check out some literature for family members.

I will gladly transfer any memorial to you so long as you are a closer relative than myself to that person. Or, if it is not a relative of mine, I will transfer it with no issues.

If you have any additional information or corrections, please send them to me and I will make the changes.

Capt. David Kemps
Thank you Corey for the transfer of David to me.
There is so much information about David it will take time and time again to get the information on line.
I can tell you that he worked for Clyde Steamship as a bar pilot. He would lead the steamships in and out of the St. Johns River and along the coasts of Georgia and South Carolina. I will be posting his obit. which is long but very interesting.
Thank you again and I will do my best to do him justice.

Bill Guion
Sgt. John Walker (1839-1904)
Mr. Patterson,

My name is Bill Guion, and I'm writing about a memorial you created for my great-grandfather, Sgt. John Walker Guion, memorial 83720923.

My wife and I live a little north of Atlanta, GA, so we are not that far away.

In any case, we had the opportunity to visit New Bern, NC last month, where we took photos of the tombstones of a number of our relatives in Cedar Grove cemetery. We have a photo of Sgt. John Walker's tombstone, which I can either forward to you or can add to the memorial myself.

I don't mind adding it myself, but I don't want you to feel as if I'm "butting in" on your memorial. Please let me know which way you would prefer to handle this.

Willis Roderick Young #47709691
Hello Corey!
If you are not related, would you mind transferring Willis Roderick Young #47709691 to me? Willis was my 1st cousin. His mother was my gg-aunt and a MacDonell. I am trying to put the MacDonell family in one place.
Thanks for the consideration.

Hattie Helms
Corey, could you post the DNA evidence to her memorial. Were Henry and Eldora never married and that is why her children are all Reeves and not Pattersons? The Hattie on the 1880 Census is two years old. This Hattie wasn't born until 1881. Things are not adding up here. More information would be helpful.
