WORDS FROM AN ANCESTOR:

Somewhere a Voice is Calling - Calling for Me!

Could that voice be the whispering of some ancient ancestor, long ago departed; but who is seeking to be known, to be recognized, and to be remembered?

If we would truly know ourselves, we should seek to know those who have preceded us; for we are indeed a part of that from which we came; and from those whose lives and labors have, in part, been responsible for so much of what we ourselves are, and for what we have today.

They, long years ago, left their footprints on the wavering sands of time; and as we seek to retrace those rapidly faking steps, they become less and less distinct, until at last, they are seen no more; and they, who made those vanished steps, are long since forgotten, and their names forever erased from the memory of men.

Let us then, while yet there is time, learn all that we can about those who have gone before us, and record for generations still unborn, that which yet remains available to us; so that their memory, as well as our own, unlike those forgotten footsteps of years long past, may not totally vanish in the ever shifting sands.
