Bio

My interest in genealogy began at an early age while sitting on my grandfathers knee listening as he would talk about how his grandmother and grandfather came from Germany. I always wanted to know more. That desire just grew as I realized there were a couple of family mysteries floating around...

After years of collecting information, I am finally at a place where I am able to devote time to my research and see where everything fits. I believe that documenting the wealth of information that may be obtained from a cemetery not only assists in my research, but preserves the information for future generations. I enjoy sharing information with other fellow researchers.

My paternal family lines include Beard, Henne, Porter and Swalley, and my maternal family lines incl Daggett, Halfacre, Jones, Payne and Weems. Although my family began in various parts of the country, all lines have been in Marion County Illinois since 1900.
