George - I do appreciate your interest in the memorials for John PATRICK & his wife Polly. I have decided to decline your suggested edits for adding exact years of birth & death for them. The short version is that I prefer no information to wrong information (or in this case, a guess that is as likely or more likely wrong than right). I realize other Contributors have different views on this matter, but my practice is not to put an exact year in the year field unless it can be documented. Even an exact age (in years) on a death certificate does not usually tell you which year the person was born in - and census ages are notorious for often being inaccurate. My reason for not putting approximate years in these fields is that there is no way to qualify them (in the field) - you can't say "about" or "ca." or "approximately" or "before" - and while you can add these caviats in the biographical section, the real problem is that FindAGrave has been integrated with Folks with family trees get hints that link them to the FindAGrave memorials, and a lot of folks go ahead and add the information to their family trees, without looking at the particulars. So then you end up with a lot of entries in family trees showing individuals with exact years of birth and death with no documentation (which years may very well not be accurate). So I choose to leave them off and explain in the bio section about when the individual may have been born or died, based on the available information. If specific data should arise on one of these folks, I would be glad to add an exact date. I will mention here that the death date of 1850 for John PATRICK cannot be correct. His wife is enumerated on the 1850 census as a widow, which indicates that he died before Census Day (01 JUN 1850), and he does not appear on the 1850 Mortality Schedule (as far as I can find), meaning he did not die between 01 JUN 1849 and 31 MAY 1850. The best I have been able to narrow his death date down so far is as I stated on the memorial, that he appears to have died in the 1840s (but before 01 JUN 1849). Thanks again for your interest. - John

Hi - thank you for the correction on the relationship link between John M. PATRICK & his wife. I see that you have also submitted suggested edits for exact birth & death year for him and exact birth year for her. Could you please send me source(s) for that information? Thanks again - John

RE: Patrick Memorial Cem
I am not related to the PATRICKs but have researched their family in connection with the cemetery, as I do have a few kinfolk buried there. I will check my records regarding the connection you mentioned and let you know what I can find. Thanks for the information - John

RE: Patrick Memorial Cem
Happy to oblige. Do you have any kinfolk buried in Patrick Cemetery, that you know of?

RE: Patrick Memorial Cem
The cemetery is located on the east side of McBride Drive, about 2/10 mile south of the intersection of McBride and the Buena Vista Road (from this intersection north, McBride changes names to Floyd Road). The intersection is a couple of miles east of the Buena Vista Road exit off of Interstate 185 (the Lindsey Creek Parkway). - John
