Thank you for the death notice. Someone sent that to me eons ago and I had forgotten it. I still feel she is with family at Harmony, but can't prove it. At least we have her on now.
I copy and pasted your notice to save you time. Thank you very much.I love your finds.

Hello Kathryn, I submitted three edit requests for Grace. I added the day of the month of her death. Her maiden name and a link to her father's memorial. Her mother was Mary Martin Mowrey, wife of Daniel Mowrey. I have not yet been able to locate her burial place. Information sources were various obits for family members, including hers, and US Census data. Paul Turner

Hello Kathryn, I submitted an edit request to add his complete date and place of birth and death. I meant to add the letter J as his middle initial, but did not.
The source is his obituary, which appeared in the Otsego Farmer on March 16, 1923.
I also submitted an edit request to link him to his parents, who are named in the obit, their memorials were created by other people.
Find A Grave doesn't allow edit submissions for the Bio section. Please add the below to his "Bio" section, I'll submit it through the "other"edit.

Thanks for the great obituary! I was now able to fill in her birth date and her maiden name! I also found her son - and linked him to his parents - also I found his obit, and will supply that soon. Thanks again! Tom

|Donna Davenport||Re Emory Burke obit|
Dear Kathryn, Once again you sent a nice surprise in this obit. Thank you so much. Actually I am best friends with his granddaughter and knew many in the family. Interesting to note that his son Chris J. was the editor of the New Berlin Gazette for decades and also was a justice of the peace. With that one obit, I was able to link up many members of the family. They are a valuable part of genealogy research.
Hope you are doing well. Donna
|James Faasen||RE: Abigail Hanor|
Kathy, I'm about 80% sure she's a Howe. I think her son William Augustus Hanor most likely was named after Abigail's brother, William Howe and her brother-in-law, Augustus Smith. And the 1852 will of sister Phebe Howe states Abigail, widow of George Hanor was given bedding before the will was written and via 1850 & 1855 census, Abigail Hanor moved from Maryland to Van Buren in 1851, so that all makes sense. I'll let you know in a week. I will check Van Buren deeds to learn if in 1855, she's living on Howe family land or sold land once owned by Levi Howe.

Kathryn, What info is there that her maiden name was Lamphere as her daughter's married name was? I am looking for Abigail Howe, daughter of Levi and Ruth (Earle) Howe late of Van Buren, NY. Abigail is called the widow of George Hanor in her sister, Phebe Howe's 1852 will. Via George Hanor's will, he was of Maryland and had 2 minor children William Augustus and Rowena. Abigail with her children William Augustus and Rowena were of Maryland, Otsego, NY and moved to Van Buren in 1851. In 1855 Abigail and son William were in Van Buren and Rowena was working as a servant in Marcellus.
