I was born May 1, 1959, in Mt Clemons, Michigan. |
Myrtle Oliver Oberlin
On February 14 1998 I married Michael Smarr, my childhood sweetheart. He has been my soulmate and has been with me through the Great and the Hard times, ever by my side.
In Oct 2006 I was diagnosed with terminal Breast Cancer and told I had two years to live.
In 2007 my son got married, and they have given us two of the most precious granddaughters.
In 2010 my sister Carol Oberlin Fortin and I found we both enjoyed geneology, so we started putting our family up on Find A Grave.
Now my Granddaughters will have a permenant record of their family.
The Lord has truely Bessed Me. It is now June 2012, It has been a struggle but worth every minute.
As we travel we find and enter cemeteries, so if I have your family member, no matter how far up the tree, please ask for the memorial, and if its not our family I would be honored to transfer it to you.
May God Bless you, Janice
Janice Oberlin Smarr

I'm not related in any manner. Presently, I'm simply working on a personal project regarding Belmont Co. Civil War vets. I'm trying to get memorials and photographs for all of them. My genealogy focuses on Belmont Co., that's all. I didn't recognize your name, so I asked for a transfer. Sometimes I get it, sometimes I don't.
My larger project is making memorials and taking photographs for Mead, Putltney and Richland twps. I have a couple people helping me.
If you have even a little interest in Alexander, u should keep him.

First I want to thank you for these two memorials and the photos. I could never find them to show where they were buried, but because of your great effort, they have been found. I have requested through the edit system to have them transferred to me for maintaining.

I added your info. Thanks!
Thanks. I added it to her bio.
|Eileen Shelton||RE: Shelby Bair|
Thank you for the information. I had them in my FTM and I thought you were correct but since you sent their information through the suggestions and his wife through edit relationship, Find A Grave got confused and had a red unknown for his parents which wiped them off. Will add them back. Shelby was raised by a Lawson after his mother died and that is one reason they were in my FTM.

Hi, I'm sorry, but I was in a hurry and I didn't look to see if Elizabeth Price was next to her husband. Kira

I accepted your edit changes Janice. I am near Clearwater and Largo in a tiny "city" called Belleair Bluffs. BTW way...I've read your bio on your Find A Grave page. I hope you are feeling well. I do hope I can someday find Samuel Myers' ancestors. That far back census records quit telling the whole story. I need to conduct local research at this point. I believe the Fox's were in Columbiana County, Ohio for a time. As Catharine Fox's obituary states she was born there.
|red66charger||RE: John B Myers|
I'm looking into whether or not you have his maternal grandfather's memorial. It may be John Fox #59724019. His mother was Catherine Fox and she had a brother named Samuel Fox. Catherine Fox married Samuel Myers and John B. Myers was one of their children.
|red66charger||RE: John B Myers|
Yes. I have 1860, 1870 and 1880 census for John Myers. I am looking for more information on his parents and their ancestors. Thanks
