Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born May 1, 1959, in Mt Clemons, Michigan.

My Parents;
Donald Oberlin
Myrtle Oliver Oberlin

On February 14 1998 I married Michael Smarr, my childhood sweetheart. He has been my soulmate and has been with me through the Great and the Hard times, ever by my side.

In Oct 2006 I was diagnosed with terminal Breast Cancer and told I had two years to live.

In 2007 my son got married, and they have given us two of the most precious granddaughters.

In 2010 my sister Carol Oberlin Fortin and I found we both enjoyed geneology, so we started putting our family up on Find A Grave.

Now my Granddaughters will have a permenant record of their family.

The Lord has truely Bessed Me. It is now June 2012, It has been a struggle but worth every minute.

As we travel we find and enter cemeteries, so if I have your family member, no matter how far up the tree, please ask for the memorial, and if its not our family I would be honored to transfer it to you.

May God Bless you, Janice

My memorial:
Janice Oberlin Smarr

RE: Maybe this is him
Hi Janice.. That appears to be about the right age for him.. but I honestly don't know much more about this family.. I'm just trying to help a relative of the Van Buskirk family to locate and link these folks up.. I'll have to look into a bit more.. Another contributor might have located his death certificate and I'm just waiting on a response from her and should know more after that.

Thank you so much for your help, it's truly appreciated..

To my memory the monument for James Guthrie is at the northern edge of the cemetery where it borders on the farm seen in the background. This end of the cemetery contains many/most of the older markers in this cemetery.

Cober photos & obits
I don't live in Kansas--just visiting and taking some photos of my own relatives. You might want to contact the Kansas Historical Society in Topeka for the obits. See their website for services and fees: Pat

Cobers in Sabetha KS
Hello, Today I added the photo for a family marker to Ephraim Cober's memorial. I spoke with the woman who keeps the records for the cemetery. Although Ephraim purchased the lot, she doesn't have records that he or Barbara are buried there. There's probably room, but there are no individual markers for them. I also added photos for Dillie and Laura. Pat #48226826
