RE: Moses Guest, Sr.
Hello again,
First I have a bit of egg on my face that I need to wipe off. I misread the narrative portion of your memorial for Grampa Moses -- I thought it said that he was buried on his land in North Carolina. Oops. I'm glad that my gaffe has connected me with another family historian, though. I'm descended from Moses and Dorcas's son John Moses, who married Mary "Polly" Stroud in Warren, Tennessee. I've run into several challenges researching this line, and I would appreciate any insight or information you're willing to share.
Kind regards,

Moses Guest, Sr.
It appears we must be very distant cousins. Moses Guest, Sr. and Dorcas Anderson Guest are two of my fifth great-grandparents. I am beginning to think they relocated to Tennessee because I have a copy of an 1850 Federal Census listing a Moses Guest, age 83, born in North Carolina and Darcus Guest, age 78, birthplace Pennsylvania living with a Mary A. Messex, age 19, born in Tennessee, and a James Looney, age 14, also born in Tennessee. They are in District 7 of Grundy County, Tennessee. I speculate the teenagers living with them are their grandchildren.

I hope you find this helpful.

I removed the birth place recorded on the death certificate and posted the message you sent to his memorial.

Houston "Hugh" Looney

This is not a duplicate memorial. The birth and death dates for the 2 Houston Looneys buried in Michael Looney Cemetery are different as are their parents. These are cousins, but definitely not the same person. I check for duplicates thoroughly before adding a memorial.

Eula Bea Looney Johnson
By some chance was this your mother.

Eula Bea Looney is my 5th cousin 3x removed. I have done a lot of work on my family tree. Some of the Looney side has been from a couple of books that I bought "Most Distinguished Characters on the American Frontier, by Madge (Looney) and Phillip Crane.

When I travel around I also stop at graveyards and take pictures for anyone to use as they please.

Thank you for all the information and pictures you have supplied for everyone to see and use in their trees.

Alice Looney in has Eula having four children. I found the the firs two, do you know how many children she and her husband had.

I am on findagrave as gravefinder and my ancestry tree is Danver-Jolly.

Thanks for all your help.

Good Morning, Larry,
Mem # 56907448 created by you. You were tracing a couple of Family trees that I thought might fit the info on the picture I have. Guess there is a fine line in names & spellings. I was hoping I had one
picture of your family. Also, think my computer just goofed up on your e-mail. It did on another one too. Sorry. Thanks for taking the time to reply.
I wanted your permission before I posted the picture, Kathy
