|June Ford||Aaron Willis #16645103|
Just started looking for Aaron and discovered that he was black and wife and children mulatto. I did consider that they could have been native American since there is that story about my Willises and there was certainly something different about mine as opposed to the others in the area. However, I looked at the slave schedules, knowing that Merrill Willis had slaves and it looks as if he may have had a male slave about Aaron's age - can't find Aaron in 1860, which would make sense. I know quite a bit about Merrill's family although it stops with his mother Ann, who lived near my Catherine in 1850. I have to wonder..if you are interested in cooperating I would be too. Don't know how far we would get - by chance is your family black? I have depositions from the family fighting over Merrill's estate and one female former slave was deposed.

I haven't done my homework on this man yet but the fact that he lived in DeKalb Co MO makes me very curious. My Willis family lived there while most of the others (probably related but how?) lived in Buchanan Co where Aaron seems to have moved. They all were in Platte, but mine were mainly in DeKalb and Worth. If you can help or if I can help you, please contact me -my Catherine Willis is a complete brick wall!

The number you gave me is for Ellen Cathleen Voyles. I couldn't find a Moomau. Is there another number I should check?

Great, I will look forward to seeing them! I cannot believe she will be 39. Rick would put her in his jacket when you let her go with us! He loved her a lot. I remember he had a son and daughter later. I was with him after that. When they came back to Spring Valley at your parents place. I could never forget him!Are you still out here?
I meant vase flower holder ... I added it a few years ago. He was very special to me

Hi, My mother was a Pendleton married to a Carman and I see I am 4th cousin 5x removed for Martha Eliza Pendleton married to Alexander S. Dandridge. I have children not listed but unable to prove same. So you have more children for them.

I see you visited the memorial of Dorothy Stephens. I wrote the bios for this cemetery & would love to know how/if you descend from her.
Old St. John's Cemetery is almost gone. There are a few graves someone has tried to save from the encroaching forest. I counted 7 slabs that do not have names or dates associated with anyone. Please advise as to how I should proceed. I can take a picture of the unmarked graves if you so wish.
