Bio

Retired Senior Marine Corps Officer (Mustang) living in Tampa Fla. Researching family history and trees for surnames Rich, Webb, Marshall, Mathis & Wofford.

I have traced and documented my main family line (Rich) back to 1650 Virginia in Colonial America and many 3rd generation individuals participated in the revolutionary war.

The family arrived in Virginia in the 1650's from England and moved into North Carolina and then South Carolina, Georgia & Florida while others migrated west into Tennessee, Alabama, Texas & Illinois. Many family lines changed the surname "Rich" to Riche, Ritch, Reach and others,

It is an extremely large family & I have "documented" over 10,000 direct ancestors to date. I find a lot of personal history and like to add family members personal history & links.

I found many "family trees" in which the older ancestors were WRONG from simply following others previous errors and researchers focusing on their own branch. My goal became to document the ENTIRE family line in one complete database with supporting documentation for all.

When I join my ancestors in the long sleep my database and FAG memorials will be transfered to the Rich Family Assn. (RFA) for all to use.

If I request a memorial transfer be assured they are a close direct ancestor and it easier to make the updates, corrections & add links rather than burden you with that task.

I understand that you might have some "claim" to a memoral as a decendent BUT I would appreciate the transfer to keep the entire family line "in one easy to find place".

If you find a new "Rich" or variant gravesite, please let me know so I may assist you in research for the individual.

Sincerely;
Donald Rich CWO-4, USMC (Ret)

If you need a photo in the Hillsborough, Manatee or Polk County Florida area, please let me know.
