|Michael V Drachman||RE: Record for Lithuania|
My pleasure, On quest like these, where info is minimal,, to do the target system.. Create a bulls-eye around the place name you mentioned... Have the FHL folks pull a map and list all the church records,, synagogues from the center,, find that date range and start pulling film.. Property, tax and poors records are another thing to look at.. Very good chance you will find family not even in the indexes created from these films as human error is part of the indexing,, has happened to me..
Anyway,, good luck and I pray you find what your looking for..

Ellen,, did I mention,, its free..

You might want to start a search at a LDS FHL,, 3 in Virginia,, online records are not complete by any means which means you might have a very good chance to learn some or all that you are looking for from film of the following documents in their catalog.. If they do not have a film on hand,, they will order it for you to sit down and go through,, believe me,, it has help me track quite a number of my family back across the pond,, tedious ad time consuming but very rewarding,,

In order to find the place of burial of someone in Lithuania, you need his or her death record. You would need to know the location of the synagogue Yisrael and Basha attended. The keeper of vital records was the priest , minister, or rabbi. I noticed that Huda and her children previously resided in Minsk. Minsk is located in Belarus. From 1795 to 1918, Minsk, Belarus and Vilna (Vilnius), Lithuania were part of the Russian Empire, under Czar Nicholas ll.The website of the Lithuanian State Historical Archives is www.lvia.lt. You could read it in English.

Thanks for the offer, I feel family should be with the ones who will update info (Friend memorials as well.) I have come across some "horder types" with in this site they seem to forget that the credit of creating the memorial does not go away, I just want to add more info than they have been willing to do for me. I like you have not turned down a request no matter how they are linked. I didn't see any other family members you created I do know I have more family members in Fredericksburg as I uncover them I may ask for help. If you need any photos taken in the Orlando, Fl (or nearby cities) area let me know.

Dear Ellen, thank you so much for that. Very kind of you to go to the trouble to find that out for me. I really appreciate it. I'm from Ireland by the way, hope to visit your great country one day and take in the historical sites, monuments, graves etc. Its a bucket wish really, to hire a car and visit every State in the USA.
Thank you so much again.
Regards from Ireland.

Actually, Ellen, I think I made a mistake. I'm new here and have confused you with another member who was talking about Sergeant Lyman Eugene Dunnuck who served in Charlie Company in Vietnam from 1967 - 1970. He died of cancer on the 24th of August 1990. He was from Alexandria Virginia. But if you know anything about him, be much appreciated. I couldn't find any mention of his obit online, while there is a R.I.P tribute for his father who passed away in 2009.
I became interested in this man after seeing him unfairly portrayed in a misleading Ytube title http://youtu.be/0ZeouAaw4BU
