Bio

I was the caretaker of Shady Grove Cemetery in Hardin County (near Saltillo) for over 15 years and still a member of the Board of Directors of the Shady Grove Cemetery Association whose purpose is to accept and manage donations to take care of the cemetery by way of mowing, cleaning and various improvements as we are able to afford them. Being the third generation of my family who have been "caretakers" for Shady Grove, I take the responsibility seriously and learn anything I can about the people buried there. Always looking for graves of people known to be buried here, but have only a field stone marker or no marker at all. I have the most extensive records that I am aware of on the cemetery, but always researching for more through networking with other researchers and descendants.
