I am a second generation Canadian. My father is the son of Swedish immigrants (with one set of Danish Ggrandparents)and my mother is the daughter of American immigrants of German, Dutch and Swiss (and a little British and Irish) descent. Most of my Mother's family have been living in the United States since the 1600s and 1700s. I'm very proud of my American ties.
I have always been interested in my family roots and I finally have the time to investigate them! My maternal grandparents came from Dayton, Ohio and were early settlers to Saskatchewan, Canada. My mother was their youngest child out of nine kids. When I was growing up in Ontario, we went to Ohio a lot to visit aunts, uncles and cousins. I always loved going there!
I am researching Dills,Koontz,Schwillon, Kemps, Zellers, Warners, Derringers, Kilmers, Loehrs, Holls(Hulls) , Martins, Lemmons (Lehmans), Stougtenboroughs (Stougtenburg), Schencks,Holmes, Seases in Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Indiana, Maryland and New Jersey. I am also researching Nelson (Nilssons), Berglunds, Johannsons, in Sweden, Minnesota and Saskatchewan and Andersons in Denmark. I am so grateful to the kind, generous volunteers who have taken the time and effort to photograph my ancestors gravesites for me and also pass on useful information and tips for me to look at!

If I have any memorials for your family members, and you are more closely related then me, I am willing to transfer them. I don't follow the strict F.A.G guidelines. I believe family should have memorials that are related to them. I would rather give it to someone who is interested and willing to take the time to write a memorial on the person then for it to stay empty or have the barest amount of info.

I just became approved as a member of DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution). So proud of my ancestors contributions!Wish I had known years ago how extensive my American roots were. Now I know why I've always felt more American than Canadian, cause I am American in my heart and soul!
