My father is from Pleasantville, Iowa, and my mother is from Mount Ayr, Iowa. I live in Virginia Beach, VA.
Whenever I come across a U.S. veteran on this site, even if I did not know them, I add a U.S. flag to their memorial and write "Many thanks for serving our country!" I encourage everyone else to do the same. We owe so much to members of our armed services.
