Bio and Links
Bio Photo I research the McWh*rter family and I am a member of the McWh*rter family DNA project Kit# 15497.I am the DNA representative for William McWhirter 1720-1802 and his brother Henry McWhirter I live in Lincoln County Tennessee. I have 38 years of Family research to exchange with anyone who has connections or information on this family. I research North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina and Texas. My main families are McWhirter, Moore, Ferrier, Marlin, Baker, Lewis, Little, Delong. I work to expand all the memorials I manage and link each and every person to their family members. I do not care for people who horde memorials for no other reason than to say they have the greatest amount of memorials, that they plan to do nothing with "ever".

Hello Jesse,
That's wonderful news about the DNA. No, I don't know who is still researching Henry's line. I have it but am not actively researching it at moment. I just have what most folks have on it. BTW, do you have Glenda Todd's email address? She and I corresponded for long time but she must have changed it. Pls. share it with me using my email address, or ask her to pls. send it to me. I miss hearing from her. Both Michael Payne and Henry Payne on ancestry are researching the McWh*rter line and have lots of info. Send me an email at my address and I will give you my contact info.
your cousin,
Abigail Banks Dennison

Yesterday in looking for Archibald I saw some Marlings'. I wasn't aware that Marling was another variation of Marlin. So, no I have not heard of Margery Marling. Hoping we can find Archibalds' father.

Patrick Martinson 1943-2015

I just wanted to touch bases with you concerning your request for photo of Patrick's headstone/marker.
Being that Patrick just passed away in January, a marker will most likely not be in place. It does take a few months for markers be to processed (provided the family purchased a marker within a few days of his passing). Weather here has had the ground frozen or so soggy that placing a marker has been a challenge. ( My own brother passed away in October, and his marker was purchased the day he passed away, and it still took until February to get it into the ground due to weather.)
I will check his site, but will also keep him on my clip board and check each weekend when I'm down in the cemetery. I'm usually there every weekend - weather permitting.
Is there anyone else that is related to Patrick that I could assist you with? Just let me know.

James R McWhorter #47123033
It is my belief that James is the son of Henry & Martha based on the 1860 census for Hardeman Co TN and the obituary added to James' memorial. I know that my uncle, ED Coston and my GGmother, Lucretia Coston Wright attended the funeral and were in-laws of James because he married Melissa Coston in Lamar Co TX 10-6-1874. I have not yet located the 1870 census for McWhorter but I know that my Coston family was from Blount & Hardeman Co TN. (See Memorial #60157205). I would appreciate any "Proof" you might have to help me. Thank you for all your research.

Hi Jessie,
Sorry, I cannot determine what is written on the bottom of his memorial. I do know that it is the name of his wife but the first name has worn over time. Did you check with John as he took the photo? Another option would be for me to send the link to a photographer friend and see if she could use different filters. Let me know...Debbie
