I research the McWh*rter family and I am a member of the McWh*rter family DNA project Kit# 15497.I am the DNA representative for William McWhirter 1720-1802 and his brother Henry McWhirter I live in Lincoln County Tennessee. I have 38 years of Family research to exchange with anyone who has connections or information on this family. I research North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina and Texas. My main families are McWhirter, Moore, Ferrier, Marlin, Baker, Lewis, Little, Delong. I work to expand all the memorials I manage and link each and every person to their family members. I do not care for people who horde memorials for no other reason than to say they have the greatest amount of memorials, that they plan to do nothing with "ever".|

Hi, Jesse. I received your message about transferring Jesse's memorial. Sorry it has taken so long to respond, but my father has been in the hospital, and I haven't been online.
How are you related? Jesse's wife, Rebecca, is my cousin. Therefore, we are also cousins. I would love to add you to my family tree.
Please email at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Yes, they had two children: William and Betty Jean McMurry. They moved to Birmingham, AL.

I am not certain where James S McWhirter is buried. Since he is supposed to have died at Corinth, MS, you might try contacting the administrative office of the National Cemetery at Corinth. It is possible that he could be buried there. http://www.cem.va.gov/cems/nchp/corinth.asp

Yes, his 2nd wife, Rebecca, is memorial 5238787. His first wife was Ann Arnold but I don't know where she's buried. Richard and Rebecca are my 3rd great grandparents. Are you related to them?

Hi, Jesse. Think I found the tombstone of one of your folks at Mt Olivet in Nashville a while back, and am just now getting around to posting it. I don't remember seeing his spouse sharing the monument, but could have been too late in the day to read it if so. Will have to check. At any rate if, indeed, this should be one you're looking for, just let me know.
|Sarah Lane||Alma Henry - please respond|
Hi Jesse. I am still looking for Alma Henry at Royal Palm and it would be helpful if you could provide a little more information. I posted a problem on the photo request a while ago and would like to hear from you. "I have found a lovely Henry family monument with separate markers for Chester & Virginia. There is space for other family members but no other markers. Is Alma related to Chester and Virginia, and is it possible that she doesn't have a marker? I will continue looking throughout the cemetery." I also sent you a message on Oct 3 about another find. Please let me know if any of these people are related to Alma or could be her. Could she be Elma? I'll keep Alma on my list but there's always a possibility that she was buried with family and has no marker. Sarah
