Agree with their being 2 Ansons. If the one in Bethel was in the Civil War, he would not have died in 1857 and the age would not fit with his war record.

May I please inquire as to the source of the maiden last name Wilke on memorial ID 111178386?
I have mixed up information. My g-grandfather indicated Conrad William Miller and Elizabeth Wilke as parents on his SS-5 form. I found a promising series of census records for this family, however those census records chased all the way through 1920 for sure and possibly through 1930, which would not be consistent with the DOD on this memorial.
Any information you can provide would be helpful.
