Bio and Links
Bio Photo Just a country girl from South Carolina.
I grew up all around the Columbia area. But I have been away for 25 + yrs. Wow! Can't believe it's been that long.

I've got family all around South Carolina (Lexington, Irmo, Chapin, and Newberry areas, as well as around the Sumter, Florence, and Bennettsville areas). Also family in California and Oregon. Family surnames-Bickley, McCartha,Comalander,Jackson,Garrett,White, and Hobbs from Delaware, and NC.

Also related to Smith Family from Red Bank,Lexington, West Columbia,SC--and Isley family from New Jersey, SC, and NC.

With all the older folks gone it's really hard trying to find family you never knew.
Most of my findings have been family members or friends of the family.

I'm sure there are a few who will understand this and some who will not!
I'm a free spirit, I enjoy nature and it's beauty and the freedom I have while walking with the angels who have past on visiting their graves.

As a child, I loved walking around old grave yards. Wondering if they could speak--what would they tell me.
I found out what they are saying--"WRITE ABOUT ME!"

Everyone has their hobbies, mine are simple I love to reach beyond into the unknown. Life and death -- what a beautiful mystery.

Please feel free to add pictures to any of my memorials, As a rule, I don't mind transferring memorials to others, however those who are direct family members of mine I prefer to keep under my management. I hope you understand. Peace and Love--Leigh

Happy to make the transfers Leigh -- and I'll keep my eyes out should you request photos -- I'm pretty sure I have them in my archives. My best, Cor.

Hi Leigh,
The transfers are finished and I also sent you their daughter, Roxannie. If there are other Hobbs family you'd like, I'd be very happy to transfer them also. Dee

Thanks for the "heads up" on the date. I placed the memorial before the tombstone photos were taken. Glad to have updated information. Mary

William Franklin White

Thanks for posting the obit on William Franklin White. He was my G Grandfather. My Grandfather was his son, James Franklin White.

Since the obit you posted gave his parents names I will add a little more history on his side of the family.

His father, as stated, was James Grier White and his mother was Frances Cornelia Munnerlyn White.

His grandfather was Joseph Barton White Jr and his grandmother was Jane Dent White. Both are buried in the family graveyard on the Manning Highway in Sumter County, SC. The graveyard was almost totally destroyed by hurricane Hugo in 1989.

Joseph Barton White Jr's parents were Joseph Barton White Sr. and Judith Grier White and they are buried in the White Cemetery on Highway 521 at Beckwood Road in Sumter SC. Judith was the first recorded death in the cemetery having passed away in 1813. Joseph Sr passed away in 1852. Although the cemetery is overgrown both stones as well as several others are clearly visible.

Anyone wanting any additional information on these lines is welcome to contact me at

RE: Garrett's
Hi, Leigh. I have transferred her as you requested. I've been out of town, or I would have transferred sooner. Thanks.

RE: Garrett's
It's much easier if you do it from their page. I have limited time, so I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Hi, Leigh! Please go to the graves you want transferred and request a transfer. If my husband isn't related, I'll transfer them. Be sure to include your member number. Thanks.
