RE: edits
With quotation marks on numbers in Huronia cemetery listing, there is nothing but a blank in my pending edits the correction is visible bit the original memorial info is blank.
In fact nobody can send edits on your listings in the Huronia R.C. cemetery because of the nickname field with quotations appearing as a last name.

That is why I put them on your public page.

Admin left a message on your page re this.

I sent the 3 edits as edits. Did you get them?
(The ones in Huronia cem)

There is something wrong with the edits I sent because of the numbers with quotation marks in the surname field. Nothing at all shows. I
unknowingly made 3 dupes but when you add the names and dates to the 3 memorials, I will delete the dupes.

If you have more photos of numbered stones, it will be impossible for you to find the names that match the numbers, even had I added numbers to the name field. There are now 1,423
entries

so if you have photos, just put the numbers of any photos on my public page and I will send you the names which are already added.

Thanks

There was one dupe, a re-interment and one misspelled name but I lost track of them so will send when I find them.

RE: Thorne children
Thank you so much for your information. The third brother, William Gordon Thorne died 16 Sep 1916 and he too is buried there. I have a hard time dealing with the fact that my ggrandmother could be so heartless leaving those three little boys at Orilla. They were 3, 4 and 6 years old when she "dropped" them off and kept her 1 year old daughter. I always wanted to find out what Orilla says was wrong with these children when they were dropped off, or at least why they were left there.

RE: Thorne children
Ok, I found the edits I declined. There was an edit for George Thorne and Charles Thorne. Do you know what the number for their brother, William Gordon Thorne, was? I noticed that their were two entries for one brother.

Thorne stone numbers
Ok. I had no idea, wow. That really makes me sad. Especially since these boys were dumped there by my great grandmother before she married my great grandfather...another slap in the face for them. Why do two of them have the same numbers? Anyway, please send me the information in a message and I will include it in their Bio...I think it will be better understood if I write it in.

You have submitted "numbers" as nicknames for these boys and the same number for two of them. I have no idea what this means so I am going to decline them until you can explain them. If you have some information that is more than what I have I would love to know about it as these boys were my grandfather's brothers.

RE: Crisps
I think we have communicated before but it seems to me findagrave does not make it easy to track threads that way.
I just made a memorial for a Hazel Crisp in Ontario Province Brant County Brantford Township Mt Hope Cemetery, and requested a photo because my source does not give death, burial, or birth dates. Someone in Canada took an interest in one of my closely related lines' brick wall and sent me a ton of info, including a link to an online Ontario (Province) Cemetery Finding Aid. That website is searchable by surnames where I found Hazel and one John, but John is in another county.
I am related to at least some of the Crisps. My maternal grandmother was born a Crisp, daughter of one of the Thomas J. Crisps I have found in Ontario Province in the 1800s. Mine is a son of a John J. Crisp (-1920). Soon after my Thomas' marriage,he and his wife moved from Ontario Province to the U.S. State of Illinois where my grandmother lived all of her life. She did, however, travel to near Toronto to visit her Crisp relatives in the mid-1960s.
How are you related to the Crisps? Have you done any DNA testing? We have, through ancestry.com and Family Tree DNA. The yDNA test on a male descendant who still has the Crisp last name has not been very helpful so far. Too few matches at too low a level to be significant or discernible.
