I was turned onto Find A Grave while trying to fill in additional information for becoming a member of the DAR. I am seventh generation to Capt. John Blakeney who is buried in the Blakeney Cemetery in Pageland, South Carolina.

I lived in New Mexico from 2001 through 2012 when I was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. I had to curtail my photographing during chemo therapy and then returned to Florida in 2013 when it was time to start my surgeries. Now that the surgeries are over I am able to return to something that I enjoy doing and know that I am helping others.
