I've been working on my families genealogy since I did a 4-H project over 25 years ago. Originally from Ohio but now living in Colorado.|

Yes, same family. It looks like the book HISTORY AND GENEALOGY OF THE POLING FAMILY by Tatterson is available on Amazon.com. It has this family back to the 1600's.

Yes, must have been a finger-fumble! Oh well, it still wasn't as bad as having 1850 as the date of death, tho. Even though I didn't do that (it was a transfer to me), I should have caught it long ago.:) Let me know if you need any other obit/s...

|BjJ||Emma Swisher death date|
Hi - I denied your edit on Emma's death date. (#29396263) You were correct about there being an error on the death year but when I looked up her obituary, it stated she died Oct. 1, not the 4th as you sent. The obit was published on the 2nd so she couldn't have died any later. You might want to read the obit as it is quite interesting and sounds as if she made quite a sad sacrifice in saving her infant g'daughter. Thanks for your note as I am glad to have the year corrected!

You are welcome. Barb

The reason for my query was I have a date for 12 Sep 1860 and a date of 12 Sep 1859. I had no supporting documentation either way regards Mary Jame's death.
