Bio

I started genealogy as a semester project in my college history course around 1975. I now use Family Tree Maker 2019 and have about 10 databases with over 35,000 individuals. I try really hard to do original research, instead of simply collecting names and hoping that everyone else's research is correct. If other people rely on my information, then I need to be sure it is right.

I love finding forgotten, overgrown cemeteries and restoring them, and creating memorials for the "residents".

If anyone has information to share, or heaven forbid, if they find an error in my information, please contact me. I do this to honor my ancestors, to get a better sense of where I came from, and to share with fellow researchers.

If anyone is "retiring" from their Find-A-Grave pursuits, I would be happy to be the caretaker of any Bowman/Bauman or Salmon/Sammon/Salmons/Sammons memorials that you want to transfer. I will give them a good home, and will re-transfer them to family members if asked.
