Bio

My family comes from Ashland, Wisconsin, and I do genealogical research during my summer (August/September) visits to that area. Cemeteries I usually can get to during my visit are located primarily in Ashland and Bayfield Counties and include: Mt. Hope and Saint Agnes in Ashland, Ashland, Co., Wisconsin; Birch Lake, Moe, Grandview, all in the Grand View, Bayfield Co. area, Greenwood (=Evergreen) and Calvary in Bayfield, Bayfield Co., Wisconsin; Hillcrest in Bessemer, Gogebic Co., Michigan. I usually cannot make cemetery visits during other times of the year or in other locations in the US.
In spring I make occasional visits to ZentralFriedhof, Matzleinsdorfer (Evangelischer) Friedhof and Inzersdorfer Friedhof in Vienna, Austria. I also travel nearly annually to Cintorín Prievoz in Bratislava, Slovakia.
My background is Swedish (Bloomquist/Jönsson-Peterson) and Sudetendeutsch (now Austrian/German) (Langhammer-Heisler), and I am researching both sides of my family, as well as my husband's Austrian family. I speak English and German.
