Bio

Born: Memphis, Tennessee

My background is Electrical Engineering and Business Administration.

I started looking into my family history several years ago when my oldest daughter finished graduate school. She said "dad, I don't know anything about your family. Please write down what you know". I did and sent copies to all of my living aunts and uncles and asked for comments, additions and corrections. I received nothing back. Now they are all deceased. So that work turned out to be an autobiography. When my parents were alive, I just didn't know to ask about family history. As far as I knew, the world started with my grandparents.

When I started looking into my family history, I hit brick walls after my grandparents and gave it up. A few years ago, a lady in my Sunday School Class took my information and broke through with information back to the Revolutionary War. For the most part, my Dad's family came fron York, SC to Lowndes and adjacent Counties in Mississippi. I have also found that a number of my relatives came to Delta, Erath and Montague Counties in Texas. My Mother's family are Tennesseeans, mostly from North Carolina. Anyway, that breakthuough rekindled interest in my family history.

Generally, I am interested in information about the following families:
Morris, Molloy, Stanford, Enloe, Dowdle, Dodson, Egger, Boling, and Perry, but there are too many to list.

The information that I have is extensive. Some is just names, but I am working to find the history that goes with them. I will be pleased to share the information that I have if it is pertinet to your study. I would appreciate any information that you have on my family that you are willing to share.
