|Seems I've been too busy adding memorials to add my profile!|
1. I would like to caution anyone adding obituaries to do so using the edit tab so it can be added to the bio section by the manager of the memorial. Obits added via the "add a photo" tab are subject to deletion by FAG and may be lost forever.
2. Please do not send edits (relatives, name corrections, dates/places of birth/death, etc) using the "add flowers and notes" tab. They most likely will not be seen by the manager and therefore, won't be added to the proper areas.
Thanks to all the FAG volunteers out there who have made this site such a success! Keep up the good work!

RootsWeb's WorldConnect lists several inputs giving DOD as 1880. True or not, I cannot verify.
|Geoffrey Knapp||Hezekiah Barr # 14329378|
I'm eating crow. The death certificate has Hezekiah's father being ???? Barr and mother being Christina Becher - I guess somebody with bad eyesight could maybe see Broker out of that. However, death certificates should be taken with a grain of salt because the informant is upset and despondent.
It is interesting that Mrs Corbin, the informant on the death certificate was in a round robin letter writing circle and provided information and endorsed the parents being J. Martin Barr & Ester Bleacher. Her daughter submitted a Bible transcription to an Oregon genealogy publication also listing J. Martin Barr & Ester Bleacher.
Findagrave is very important and the volunteers are critical. (Thank you) In fact, findagrave may be the start of a person's genealogy search - look for dad's grave then grandma's, .... Any wrong information concerning lineage is denying the person's birth right after death.
Many people believe that their great-great-grandfather's findagrave memorial to be their personal pedigree chart with their data. This was not the case in this situation.
I was asked to take over the memorial. I cannot do this without feeling like I am taking it over as my own pedigree playground.

Hi Glenda, I just found the Old Blacksville Cemetery. Can you add on the info page, the cemetery is located on Dewey Ave, off of rt 218?
We looked everywhere and finally found it. I thought just a street name would help someone else find it.
Thank you, Missy Andrews

I have a distant relative buried in Arnett Cemetery (Grant Town, WV) and was hoping to visit the site in late June. The directions that come with the cemetery are vague (i.e. off Hwy 25 between Grant Town and Hoodsville) so I was wondering if you have any recollection of exactly where it is. I see you took a photograph of the site in February of 2014.
Any help would be most appreciated!

Glenda, thanks for the word on the photo obituaries. I had a bunch that I had added because I reread the guidelines I removed many, then someone said no Ancestry owns them now they won't care. I have so many I will just let them remove them. It would take a year to type them all. I have them on a flash drive for the Historical Society of Jones so will get to it if I live long enough. Let me know of others you find. Thanks. Alison.

Deleted, and thanks for the info. If you come across more of mine, please let me know. And thanks for saving her obit. Mike

Jacob and Catherine are my 3rd great grandparents and I was wondering about whether you have a copy of the Baer Newsletter. Thank you for your information and happy hunting.
(German Script - same stone as Catharine) no dates given (Source: Baer Newsletter, publ. Tiffin, OH, Apr. 20, 1983) Dates & places of birth and death provided by Find A Grave member #47369746.

Local records has Clifford Shaw in Blk 55 Lot 3 Grave D in the original section. I'm sorry to report there is not a memorial at that location. However, there is a memorial of Mattie & Robert Shaw if you are interested.

Hi! This is my GG Grandmother and, although I've always known the cemetery, I also know that her grave hasn't been found. You haven't found it, perchance, have you? I think she is buried in the Cayton plot with her husband, Benjamin, and grandson, William Cayton as there are 2 unmarked graves there. Any ideas would be appreciated!
