I have been interested in genealogy for about 11 years. I enjoy adding information to FAG and I enjoy adding obits to the memorials. I go to the Columbia, Marion County, Ms. Court House to go through the old news papers and add the obits to FAG. I appreciate everyone that has added the obits on the memorials. I am interested in the following names in my family tree: Fortenberry, Forbes, Tolar, Crawley, Merritt, Mullins, and McCleland (McLeland).

Adaline Victoria Fortenberry
I was wondering if you had any information on Adaline Victoria Fortenberry. She married James Samspon Pope and was the daughter of John Wesley Fortenberry and Mary Jane Rebecca Young Faulk. Adaline died in 1904 of typhoid fever along with three of her children. She and James were my great-great-great grandparents.

Sarah Ford-Joseph Ford cemetery
Rev. Joseph Ford married the daughter of Ben & Eliz. Rawls. The Sarah Ford b. 1782 is most likely his wife but more research needs to be done.

Ms. Shirley,

I wanted to drop by to say what a pleasure it was meeting you and Ms. Janine today. As I told Ms. Janine, should you all need anything in South Pearl River County OR Hancock County, do not hesitate to let me know. Right now, I am trying to photograph all of Hancock County's marriage records every time I travel down to the Bay but my camera is not the best. Hopefully, Black Friday, I will be able to buy a DSLR (Nikon) that better focus' on objects.

It was a pleasure and should you need anything, please let me know.

Harriet Fortenberry Whittom
Thank you Shirley for all your hard work. I have a question about the citing for HARRIET WHITTOM. Her tombstone has HARRIET WHITTOM STEWART on it. I think she was married to ANDREW STEWART. My research shows they were married on 28 Jan 1897 in Columbia, Marion Co., Mississippi, and they are listed on the 1900 census. She is on the 1920 census listed as a widow.
I am trying to find out when and where ANDREW STEWART(b 1825 in South Carolina and first married to Sarah) died and is buried.
Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated.
