I have been researching my family histories for the past 25 years, and have published my "Hammersley's of Lynchburg, Virginia" manuscript in 2006, the 2nd edition will be by Dec 2010. Other family lines include: Sankey, Hamlett, Holt, Sublett, Puckett, Smoot, McManus, McCauley & Knight from my own lines. Additionally through family marriages: Murray, Ehlenburg, Swayze, Day, Shaw, Lepard, Duplante, Hollingshead, Schnell, Gadladge, Andrews, Griffin and other associated families.|
I live in SE Michigan close to Toledo, and have access to both Ohio & Michigan records, both online and through county libraries. I have some allied lines from Michigan, mainly Day, Draper, Swayze, Murray and others, and have gathered a lot of data on those families. I'm an avid photographer and digitally reproduced antique photos and restore damaged photos. I enjoy traveling to the places my ancestors lived, worked and died and learning as much about them as I can.
Note: Those of us who volunteer our TIME, expense & effort do so VOLUNTARILY, if you want a correction made, ask nicely, otherwise your request will be ignored. I do not respond to snarky, rude commentary... corrections will be made when time permits, not when you demand - this service is run by volunteers, not paid professionals! Please DO NOT SEND MULTIPLE REQUESTS FOR THE SAME MEMORIAL -it is a waste of my time and yours - thank you for understanding.
If you want a transfer, include your contributor # or the memorial will not be transferred. Much of the entries made are transcribed from PUBLISHED material, not farcical fiction - those of us who spend OUR time to transcribe & upload records are not responsible for errors done by volunteers in the field, or historical society publishers.
If a duplication is found, I will only delete the duplication WITHOUT photos, otherwise what is the point - volunteers take the time to visit those cemeteries and take those photos, I will not diminish their work, effort & time by undoing what some have graciously shared with the public.

|virginia||Memorial # 60972673|
First - Thank you for all your efforts!
This memorial # 60972673 was my great grandfather's sister. I remember her as a child - everyone knew her as "Billie Booth." It might help others looking for her if that were added to the memorial.
Thank you again!

This Frank White is the son of John Kern and Jane Ann White. He is my missing fourth child for them!! On both death records it states that John and Jane are buried in the same cemetery. By chance are they near by Frank's? I haven't found them yet. Thank you for your time and hard work! I have been looking for this kid and am so happy to have found him!!

|Darrell Landrum||Hammersleys in Presbyterian|
Hi Alexandra, I've been doing some work in Presbyterian Cemetery here in Lynchburg recently and came across some Hammersley children in the burial book, but not in the online records. I am going to post memorials for them based on what I found and try to get out there to take photos of their graves if there are stones. If you are kin to the Hammersley family here in Lynchburg, thought you might be interested and possibly be able to attach their parents to them.
|Kenneth H. Rogers, Jr.||Adelia Newcomb|
Adelia is my Great-great Grandmother. I am inquiring to see if you would be willing to transfer her memorial to my account. I have submitted several edits also. I thank you form your consideration.

|Ed Haynor||Alexander J. Haynor/Hayner|
Wondering why in 2010 you've listed Alexander J. Hayner, born in 1807, died in 1884 as Alexander J. Haynor, when the gravestone itself clearly says "Hayner?" at http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=5592019.
|Kenneth Candler||per 1927 survey|
On some of you enters in Virginia you have "per 1927 survey" can you please let me know what this is and where I might find it if it can help me tracing my family.
not sure if it has been brought to your attention or not but this is a duplicate memorial and it appears that the other was entered first...
