I was born in Lafayette County, Florida in 1940, I am researching my family history in that area. Since I have had trouble locating family members in the cemeteries of that area I have decided to try and help rectify that problem.
Bertha Lee Newman Barrs 48172784 I don't know who is right - (I have been wrong a few times, I know!) But I have her parents as: George Crosby Newman and Lucian Virginia Grisson. I did some looking and found these references with the names I listed: Looks like Crossley could be right, but Vivan is wrong.
Your Family Tree I see in your bio that you want to find people in your tree in Lafayette County. I visit cemeteries and photograph each and every stone, then return home to match each photograph to the appropriate memorial here on Find-A-Grave.
I have visited a few cemeteries in Lafayette, but right now I'm trying to complete Taylor & Dixie Counties since I'm closer to them.
I will help you build your tree if you wish. Just let me know where you need help and I will help you when and if I can!
DNA cousin Ms. Anita, Michael Revels and I have been discussing our DNA and ancestry. You are supposedly on my Family Finder list. He says you are descended from Edmond Revels. I don't have any descendants for him and his wife Cena. Can you point me to the information i need to enter to determine our relationship. All my data is on Rootsweb Worldconnect in the lamar database.
George N. McCall, (1888-1977) Riverside Cemetery, Lafayette Co, FL. Ms McFarland, Please contact me relative to your memorial for George N. McCall. He was my grandfather. The parents and place of birth shown are incorrect. The parents listed are those of George R. McCall (1851-1924, a cousin) who is also buried at Riverside Cemetery. I tried to suggest edits through this site but the site would not allow it. Thanks.
Your DNA Match Anita: Your DNA on FTDNA matches my father, who is 82, at 0 generations! I'm trying to find out how this might be possible. Can you be of any help with your family tree, which is not supplied on FTDNA? Thanks. Daughter Letitia
