I started researching my genealogy in the 1970s and have never stopped. My paternal surnames are Buxton, Gernhardt, Cronin and Southwick; my maternal surnames are Brigham, Bemis, Gilman, and Todd. My families are from New England--almost all of them from Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

I also do research on my husband's family; surnames: Horne, Hudson, Lilly, Atkinson, Graves, Hamilton, Horton and Moore. All these families are from Anson County, NC and Chesterfield County, SC.
