Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am glad to transfer memorials to anyone who has more information about the deceased than I do or is more directly related to the person than I. However, I would appreciate a request through the "Suggest a correction..." function on the memorial page. In it, write something like "Please transfer because {insert your reason here blah, blah - whatever you want to tell me.} That makes it so much easier for me because the system generates and sends an email to me with direct links to the memorial, making it SO much easier for me to handle your request. NOTE: I probably won't transfer to anyone who has been a member of findagrave for less than 6 months. Why? Because I've found some folks will sign up, quickly request transfers of all their family members, then get bored and don't make corrections after the newness of the site has worn off.

If you don't understand "Suggest a Correction", also referred to as "SAC", see this short video: How and Why to use the "Suggest a Correction" feature.

After a few years of just using the site for my research, I've decided to spend some of my spare time "paying it forward".

If you're like me and have been able to tie up loose ends in your genealogy using this site, please help out by contributing information whenever you can.

I live in Arab, Marshall Co., Alabama, was a lawyer once, and am now a critical care nurse.

TVA: If you're interested in knowing what graves were moved by TVA while building the dams and lakes, see this database and read this article "Drowned towns" (Some graves were not moved, but left to be covered in the water, by the way.)

Side note: If I add any information other than what is shown on the marker, I try to remember to include the actual transcription on the memorial. Since I didn't do that when I first started, not all of my memorials include that info.

An example of how you can add a ton of useful information to a memorial using HTML code: My Dad's memorial.

The Alabama Cemetery Preservation Alliance is a great resource.

Check out the Facebook Page I manage for the Arab Historical Society.

You can tell that there was a recent burial here, but there is no dod on her marker at this time, nor was there a funeral home marker.

I've checked with the office of the cemetery and they were unable to find a record for this grave.
If you can provide the name of the garden and plot number I will be happy take a photo and post it to findagrave.com.

Thanks,
Rita Goss

Wilabay
Hello,

My 1st, 3x removed cousin is buried in Asbury United Methodist Church, his name is Samuel Wilabay. There are several Wilabay's buried there and I was hoping you would know if they are related and to who.

I most interested in Emerline T. (1882-1910), James Tommy (1910-1910)

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Dawn

Was beginning to think we would not find this lady. Her Coffey stone is shared by Edna V, Ruby, and Willie Coffey

Saw the note you have on this person's death. There was a HS Hess(William Stovall Hess) who was also killed. Do you know anything else? Where did the Tidmore's live at the time of the storm? Have someone looking for the Hess grave. She has it posted at Rock Springs and I did not find this grave when I surveyed the cemetery. There are multiple unmarked stones in this cemetery.
