I have continued to put the family information together based on what my father and others in the family had started.

It is so very interesting to find out about the various members of the tree.

I love to travel, have been to all 50 states and 7 continents.

Anyone has my permission to copy photos.

That's GREAT! I envy you. I wish my ancestors had written a narrative like that. It's a very interesting read even for someone not related to the family. Glad you were able to find it. I will be going to little Nathaniel's grave this weekend and will take some better photos for you.

I did copy that Genealogy info on the Tripp family into my documents, I am not a computer genius, but will see if I can send it to your email address tonight. If you don't receive it tonight, then I will have to see if my grandson can help me figure out how to do it. I believe it was written in 1897 (give or take a few years)and was published in the newspaper at Cohocton. There is also some information on the Tripps on Relativelyconnected.com.

Do you have the Tripp genealogy information written by Nathaniel's sister, Lucinda Tripp Avery of Cohocton? Lots of Tripp family information in it!! Someone was kind enough to send it to me when I posted this photo in an online cemetery group. It gives a firsthand account by the tragic story of Nathaniel being lost.

I can't tell you how much it means to me to be able to link this child with his family. (I'm not even related and I'm weepy over it) This tiny lone gravestone and the poignant epitaph has been a fascination to me since I discovered it about 20 years ago. The grave is all alone,on the side of Erie Canal Rd. in Lewis Co. NY, outside of Lowville. Someone has been decorating it for years according to the seasons, small wind chimes and artificial flowers are usually on it and sometimes small toys. I can take a better photo of it if you would like. I shot the posted photo at a peculiar angle so the epitaph was more visible.

I gladly give you permission to use the photo and information. This little boy has been lost and alone for a long time, it's time to link him with his family.

I'm not related to any of the Union cemetery memorials under my management or from any of the other Livingston County area cemeteries (other than a few in Springwater). Feel free to request any of your family members that happen to be under my management, regardless of how distantly related or the number of transfers. I have plenty to share.
