Bio and Links
Bio Photo I became interested in genealogy several years ago, while attending a family reunion. Someone made the statement "If someone doesn't write this information down, then it's going to be lost". I realized how true that was, so I began my searches. I think "Family" is very important, and sometimes younger generations don't think much about the present time, then later begin to wonder. Of course, after all the info has been gathered, then family members request copies of the info, which I am happy to share.

Now that I have become aquainted with Find A Grave, I am trying to get as much info and photos added, as possible, to help others locate their loved ones.

If requesting transfers, or asking me to do corrections or additions, please do so, through the edit tab on the memorial you are requesting.

Hiram and Harrison Hardacre
These two Hardacre men - Hiram (1828-1900) and Harrison (1830-1909) with their wives are, according to obits both buried in Pleasant Hill, Lawrenceville Cemetery in Bridgeport or in Lawrenceville. I have found many of their descendants. They were the 10th & 11th children of Benjamin and Nancy (McFadden) Hardacre. If you happen to find their burial stones in one of the cemeteries in that area, please e-mail ..thanks..

Think I only had a couple in Shiloh, one I moved and one I deleted as there was a duplicate. Let me know if I need to do something else.
I want to get down there sometime next month. Need to take some pictures in Hidalgo while there and see my aunt. Will check with you on dates. Kay

RE: Bridgeport/Shiloh Cemetery
I have transferred all memorials I placed in the Shiloh Cemetery, to the Bridgeport Cemetery. Unfortunately, I didn't think to check for duplicates after I did it. If you run across any of mine that should be deleted, please let me know and I will delete them.

Ruth Scaggs
I transferred Ruth Scaggs to the Bridgeport City Cemetery. I am confused also. The reason I have put memorials in the Shiloh Cemetery is because when I checked their obituaries, that is where it says they are buried. Whenever I went to the cemetery, I always thought those buried on the side of the road as the Shiloh Baptist Church were also in the Shiloh Cemetery. Shiloh cemetery is listed in Irene Black's "Cemeteries of Lawrence County, Illinois" as a separate cemetery located "west of the new section of the Bridgeport Cemetery". You can see where I too am confused. If I run across obituaries of memorials you have created, do you want me to send you the information?

Brynn Edwards
I see that you have a lot of the Brinkleys in Richland County. I have a Dave Brinkley here in Union County that has the parents John (SC born) and Margaret (IL born). I was curious as to if you knew anything that may connect Dave to the bunch up there? He was born in IL as well. I searched cyberdrive and found a marriage for BRINKLEY, JOHN and HISLEMAN, MARGRATE 1863-04-02 RICHLAND COUNTY. The information I received from a contributor said that Margaret's name was "Heindselman".

Mary A. Wortman
Would you like to manage Mary A. Wortman's memorial? She is not in my family. Also, if there are any others, let me know and I would be happy to transfer.
