|Melissa Lively Sherry||RE: Susie Knopes Steigers|
The cemetery worker had the information on them and they are buried in the "Rose Garden" section.
It is at the South side of the cemetery in the southwest corner. I looked all over and the plot that they had them listed in had no marker. Good luck in your search!
Have a great day!
I have already sent an email to the individual to ask him to delete the incorrect memorial.
As to your other photo request, I hope to get them this coming week.
|Linda Keller Alders||RE: Calvary Cemetery|
As you know I am related to the Alders.
If You need any info on them, I can supply.
they left the area around 1870, moving to the Weston Mo area where the 9th known child Annie was born.
The 120 acre farm ground you reference was sold by Gerhard Alders 4-9-1864 for $475 recorded 10-26-1867 in Index Book E page 103 by the Recorder of deeds of Montgomery Co.
He was married @ the St George Church on 3-14-1853 in Herman, Mo.
Gerhard son Theodore was my husbands grandfather, Gerhard his Great Grandfather.

Calvary Cemetery is no longer in existence, most of the found bodies were moved to Mount Olivet Cemetery St Joe.
I have the children posted on the parents site.
I also have the same records you shared.
But I might mention the Wilhelm H or William Henry as he was later called had a dare of 1-16-1862 on his head stone.
You can see the names listed in Mount Olivet.
are you a relative to the Alders??

There are two records for Henrietta, AKA, Hattie Ash at Montgomery Cemetery in Montgomery City, Missouri.
Her correct date of death is 1918.
She died in the flu epedemic as did her mother.

Thank you for the heads up on that profile. I did a little more research on him, and I don't think I understand the comment the General made... "wainwright, I would give you ten thousand dollars for that wound." Any thoughts on that? Jacki
